...summer. And how it is here already! I know it is a common thought among many of us...time passing faster than we would like. But seriously! June? Our June is actually quite busy...with happy things...graduation and celebrations...vacation...a Taylor Swift concert...and our anniversary! Before we know it...it will be Fourth of July! So in between all the fun and festivities, I vow to relax on the porch...sip tea and sit on the swing...play games with my people...and just be. : ) Here is a peek at the last week of May in our country home.
There were sunny mornings...
and stormy evenings. : )
Afternoons were spent sipping coffee and milk and watching my very favorite children's show...Little Bear.
There were overripe bananas...perfect for this delicious cake. Thanks, Stephanie!
It is perfect for breakfast too. : )
And finally, Madison's boyfriend returned for a summer visit! He actually surprised her by flying in sooner than expected! She was thrilled! And shocked! And thrilled! He is a pleasure to have visiting, and we are all enjoying him here. Perhaps most of all...Flynn. : )
Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!!!!
Thank you for sharing. I miss those kids shows, loved Little Bear, the cake looks good...and Madison's boyfriend is quite cute. Have a beautiful Thursday. Blessings
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the 'visit' and hope you have a nice weekend. Family is just everything!
ReplyDeleteHave I mentioned before how much I LOVE your swing?! It's so perfect! And Little Bear! My kids spent hours upon hours watching Little Bear. Makes me a little sad....
ReplyDeleteLooks so beautiful there. If only we could stop the rain in these parts! Love Little Bear -- bet you are having so much fun with Madison's boyfriend there! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteOh, I am a bit envious of your swing. I would love someday to have a porch and a swing! And a Taylor Swift concert...so, so, so jealous! Please tell us all about it. I would love to go to one of her concerts some day. I hope you have a GREAT summer!
ReplyDeleteLittle Bear is such a great show, I remember my girls watching that when they were younger :-) Summer is slowly emerging here, still some cool days and late blooming flowers :-) Taylor Swift is amazing in concert, we went a few years ago and we all enjoyed it! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jill

ReplyDeleteI was wondering about the boyfriend this past week! :)
ReplyDeleteTaylor Swift? My daughter is saving for tickets in like 2 years....I'm sure the concert will be AWESOME! SO who all is going?
Love Little Bear
Love Banana cake! (especially for breakfast!)
Love your sunny porch...we have not had much sun or warm here yet...it's another rainy day here in MN.
Cool and humid. Really humid.
This older man I give a ride to all the time to and from Church, always says, "Pray for rainy nights and sunny days" It's so cute. Sounds like you are getting that!
Lots of wonderful things to look forward to, the swing looks a real delight.
ReplyDeleteThursday already! Time is flying by.
ReplyDeleteYou should have a cooking blog...so I can get some recipes!
The cake is definitely perfect for breakfast :) It makes my heart happy to see and your family enjoying Grandma Betty's cake....bless you, my friend.
