Dear September

Dear September, so here we are. You just got here, and you will be gone again in a few days. We had such a good time together decorating the house with pumpkins, leaves, and fairy lights. I enjoyed your slow-paced days, your abundance of all things pumpkin-flavored, and all the new seasons of our favorite shows you brought with you. I love that your days are relatively free from the urgent feelings and pressure of the coming months, that your days are ones to just be, to take time to adapt to the changes of a new season and rest before all the holiday excitement begins. Thank you, September. For the calm, the beauty, the new school year, and the promise of all to come. I will miss you!

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends. Prayers for all affected by the hurricane. Stay safe.

  6. Another month gone but I'm thankful for more rain. I enjoy seeing my pumpkin 🎃 by our house step. I wound up cutting off blackberry limbs and a few other things to get into the yard debris bin last evening and get it out to get it empty this morning. You have a good weekend too 😊, Becky

  18. I’m with Jules, where did September go? October has always been my favorite month - finally cool enough for sweaters, bonfires, warming soups, and Halloween fun. My goal? To make it go as slowly as possible and follow your lead: to find something to embrace every single day. Thank you for the beautiful post - Have a lovely weekend!

  19. September seemed to come and then go in a jiffy! Hard to believe that October is day after tomorrow. I'm seeing pumpkin-spice everything lately. So far I've only gotten some pumpkin spice coffee but I'm sure I'll be bringing home some cookies or muffins soon.
