I hope your December days are passing slowly and with intention, my friends. It is hard to limit the outside world's influence, isn't it? The constant deluge to buy, buy, buy. To keep spending and rushing. We are trying to focus inward this year. More quiet evenings by the tree. More movie nights together. Less rushing. Less stress. Less checking things off a list. In fact, I did away with the list this year!
Have a cozy day, dear friends!
Billie Jo
We are not going out to the stores this year...yay! Sure is nice to enjoy what we have and get out in nature when we can. Happy holidays!
ReplyDeleteI simply adore the Comfy Cozy are We sign. I love it. And the little candleholder houses?! Cozy is the way.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have a few blog friends who do this "wordless Wednesday," and was thinking of doing it myself for some time. I love your wreath with the red balls. You know, my Mom used to decorate her tree with just the red balls. Thank you for reminding me of that, Billie Jo. Your little space under the wreath is so cute and cozy with the white cottages and the trees. And I love that little white tree with the lights too. So good of you to not rush through the season, and enjoy every minute of this beautiful time we are in. Have a merry week, Billie Jo.

Love your decorations and holiday plans! So Festive!
ReplyDeleteHow can your sweet Flynn be 12 already!! She was such a little pumpkin when I first "met" you! You are blessed indeed!
What a sweet post Billy, I needed that today, as I rush to catch up on the season and I really just want to go crawl in bed and hide. With a plate of fudge.....
ReplyDeleteI like the way you think, my friend! This year it is impossible "to do it all." It's taken me a while to realize this. Enjoy this lovely time unhurried and reflective.
ReplyDeleteI'm decorating less this year, trying to do less. But we're still shopping and work is extra busy. Trying to remember the reason though! The Lord brings everything into perspective!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, peaceful and lovely to look at. I think after the year we've had a lot of us are counting our blessings and looking inward. 💖
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo. Lovely decorations. We are downsizing the holidays here too, and being grateful for the gifts God has given. Have a wonderful day. :-)
ReplyDeleteHello Dear Friend! So nice to catch up with you. I completely relate with the need to keep things more simple. To change traditions with a changing family. I think the time you are enjoying and spending sounds perfect. It's best to focus on the read real reason for the season and family and friends. Nothing else needed. May you continue to enjoy the peace (& magic) of the season through each day ahead.
ReplyDeleteWe downsized a long time ago....and it was the best thing that happened.
ReplyDeleteI love your sparkly tree. Christmas is pretty low key here this year. We decorated as usual because so many were asking about our lights! As for shopping, I had the kids make Amazon wish lists and that's how I did almost all of my shopping. Click click done.
ReplyDeleteAh, the list!!! I couldn't do without mine this year, but I made sure everything on it made me happy- and not stressed. Fewer gifts, more experiences. Trying to soak up every day of December, which always flies by, right???? I wish December would last 3 months! :)
