Monday Morning Coffee

Good Monday morning! How was your weekend? Quiet here. I did manage to deep clean the family room. And that is about it! Progress, right? I also spent some time with these lovely people...

My Madison, her husband Nicolas, and their pup, Draper. You know, I used to be sad thinking how quickly my children grew. I wanted to stop time, to keep them little and with me forever. But then I would have missed out on the incredible person this one became and the extraordinary man she found across the ocean and, yes, even that furry little pup who never seems to realize Mocha is not playing with him when she runs and hides under the dresser.

Shoutout to the husband who takes charge of exterior decor every season.

One last shot of our backyard before we packed it away for the winter. Can you spot our visitor?

And lastly. If you come across this in your local grocery store, pick one up.

Happy Monday, my friends!

  4. That granola looks delicious! Had to do a double take at the deer in your picture and make sure it wasn't a statue. The porch decorations look great. Hope you have a wonderful week!

  11. It sounds like you had a really nice weekend! Your front porch is so pretty for fall. Looking forward to seeing how you decorate it for Christmas. So hard to believe that Thanksgiving is next week - isn't it? And I've done absolutely zero Christmas shopping. I need to get busy that's for sure. I'm just hanging out on the sofa next to Rosie listening to a Bible study in the background reminding me to keep faith in God and not in man as the world seems so crazy out there. We are in this world but not of it. Hope you are having a great day, my friend.

  14. Oh my, and what a wonderful visitor that is, a BUCK! I just saw a deer yesterday crossing the street right as I was driving. It made me smile. This is a cute picture of Madison and her husband. And the front porch is charming with the orange pumpkins and turkey. How delightful that your husband decorates it every season. The love crunch sounds Yummy. Anything with chocolate and peanut butter is a Yes for me. ; )

Have a wonderful rest of the week, Billie Jo. Oh, your coffee cup is so cute. You know, I tried the Dunkin' Coffee, and although it was good, I think Starbucks is still my favorite.

  20. Hello my dear Friend Ms Bille Jo!
Sorry I'm so late this week. Aaron and Helaina left today and I was busy with them all week and helping them get ready to leave. (hold me 😢) But I love what you said about the special part of knowing our kids as adults. And I believe that too...and God's plan for my Aaron and his life.
Always love seeing your beautiful cozy home. So lovely in every season. And great job outside Steve! That buck in your yard was beautiful.
And I love that granola too!! 😋 Especially the dark chocolate with strawberry one. Have a blessed week.
