Monday Morning Coffee

Good Monday morning, my friends. I am sipping a favorite today, Dunkin Original with Italian Creamer. Along with a side-of-store brand Dayquil. Yes, we are sharing a lovely spring cold here in our home. I will not complain, as I know it could be much worse. Fortunately, we are certain it is nothing more than an annoying and uncomfortable visitor that refuses to leave. Just when I think I can throw open the windows, douse everything in Lysol and replace toothbrushes, I find the cold has found a new host. Again, we are thankful it is nothing more.

We decided to postpone the Mother's Day festivities until next week, but I did enjoy a cozy, restful day. I was treated to a delicious breakfast, followed by four episodes of an old favorite, The Brady Bunch, and then a ridiculously long nap. Because outside looked like December, I treated it as such, and it was cozy and warm inside.

I was blessed to talk with my own amazing mother several times on the phone. We laughed and talked and laughed some more. I cherish those moments more and more. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend with those you hold dear, near or far. Have a cozy Monday, and thanks for stopping by. I am always thankful you do!

  1. Hope everyone feels better very soon! And oh my, guess I'm not going to complain so much about it being cold here as at least we didn't get any snow. (At first, I was trying to figure out what kind of pretty white flowers were in that picture, ha!). Have a warm, wonderful, and healthy week!

  3. I hope you feel much better soon! We are in allergy season here and it hit me hard last year and now again this year! But I shouldn't complain. Our weather has been nice and we've gotten out on hikes a lot! Take care of yourself. Hugs!

  9. Snow? WOW...a friend my daughter knows in CO said there was snow there again. At least its not alot. We've not had as much rain as we usually get in April this year. Hope you feel better every day. I enjoy my diffusers with specific essential oils that make house smell good and help out when we don't feel good and sleep better. I also make sprays with the oils for rooms too. Better than store bought sprays. I've been drinking hot tea at least once a day. Allergy time again this year too. Take care 🙏🌷🐰
