Good morning! Welcome to a rainy Monday here in Pennsylvania. I don't mind a cozy rainy day in May. Those rain showers make everything brown turn green again. No plans here today except homeschooling and laundry. Dinner is hot sausage with onions and peppers for sandwiches with corn on the cob.
Although it looks like I posted two of the exact same pictures, I didn't. The first is today, and the other was Saturday. It seems that I am not the only one who has a deep obsession with Halloween. Saturday was Half-a-ween! Translates to halfway to Halloween. It is a thing! AMC had horror movies on all day. So, of course, I had to snuggle in and enjoy! Any guesses on what I was watching??? It's an oldie!
Added a picture of Mocha during our weekly grocery run. And the most beautiful view from our front porch, because we do have one! I always forget about it! Have a cozy Monday, my friends. Thanks for visiting.
That mug really suits you. How fun that it was halfway to Halloween. However, my obsession is with spring and summer flowers right now (probably all the time). Your view is beautiful. Hope you have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday and half-a-ween! Were are slowly getting there! Your front view is lovely! What a pretty sky! Same here today...work, laundry...coffee...ect. Have a wonderful start to the week! Hugs to everyone. Miss you!!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a cute mug. I need to switch mine out this week too! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThe Shining and a halloween mug - such a kindred soul! Yet we love and adore Jesus. Lol 😉
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Half-a-ween was a thing! We've had some rain here in Seattle as well but the flowers are blooming and spring is in the air!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky, from your front porch. There are others around you, but you have the lake, behind you!!!
ReplyDeleteOh gracious, maybe that is "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson??? I'm not really 'up' on scary movies. A wimp I am!!!! LOL I like Halloween but not the scary part. -chuckle- I don't even like skeletons or spiders or etc. Yes, a real wimp!

I'm so glad that you reminded me to break out my spooky mug! After watching 2 Halloween movies I was a bit disappointed when I glanced around at the ugly spring stuff in my house. : ) Now, we're closer than half way. whooooooooop!!!
ReplyDeleteI just sipped tea this weekend from my newest Christmas vintage mug I found thrifting and read a newly ordered Christmas magazine - oh and a Christmas movie too - I'm just like you but with Christmas! I sooooo get it! Enjoy your favorite holiday alll year long!
ReplyDeleteI love that beautiful sunset view from your front porch. Fun Halloween mug. For just a moment, after seeing the first two pictures, I thought I was caught in a time warp. ;-) Hope you have a great week. P.S. The wedding pictures from your last post are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHalf-a-ween sounds wonderful!! Time to start planning for the real deal. (This is the year I am stepping up my decor!!)
ReplyDeleteThat front porch picture is awesome. Beautiful colors. Half-a-ween? Never heard of it, but yay! It's never too early in my book to be counting down to my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteNot me! I love a good murder mystery but not a good horror movie. Like the mug, and of course, Mocha is the sweetest!❤️
ReplyDeleteThat sunset is amazing and your dog is so cute! :) I'm a scaredy cat, I don't like horror movies at all, haha! So no idea what you were watching sorry!
ReplyDeleteHope that your week is going well :)
Away From The Blue
I read every Stephen King book I could get my hands on from the time I was young, but the first time my husband and I watched The Shining, we had to turn it off, and try again a different night, it was just too scary. That sunset view is gorgeous, and I also like these dark rainy spring days, so utterly cozy. I almost hate when the sun comes out and ruins it!
ReplyDeleteOh my - never heard of Half A Ween-- looks like that scary Shining movie! I can't watch scary movies anymore -- they make me jumpy and awake! Hope you're having some nice sunny weather now!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to celebrate half way to Halloween! I love celebrating things that make the heart happy! Hugs to you my friend. ~Juli
ReplyDeleteThanks for explaining. I saw that mug and thought I had somehow ended up in your archives! If you had a rainy day, then you are having the weather we had yesterday. It rained steadily all day long. We are positively soggy here. Have a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteHalf Halloween is news to me! I'm not a huge fan of Halloween, but I do love the fall:) This morning was the first time in days that we woke to sunshine. Such a treat!
