What September Is Looking Like Around Here

September is different this year. Everything is, isn't it? So much going on in our world. So much competing for our thoughts. September doesn't know that though. The trees are still contemplating the best time to display their vibrant colors before heading into their deep winter slumber. The animals still scurry around collecting nuts and the sun still adjusts her bedtime to reflect the changing seasons. I think I shall follow their lead. I will allow all the extra to exist around me. I will acknowledge it. I will comply when necessary. But I won't let it change me. Or my love of fall. How about you, my friends?

And remember that today we recall a time when our country came together, united in shock, and in grief.

  1. September looks beautiful there! Such a sad day 19 years ago - the world really changed that day and we will always remember and honor the memories of those lost.

What a great celebration for your Hub. Have a good weekend!

  2. Oh so true, about the effect of 9/11...!!!!!! We can hardly believe it, today, can we? Today, when only division rules... ~sigh~

But your attitude is the best!

Do not let All~The~Horrors, define us. Or our enjoyment of Autumn. Or our peace of mind.

It may be hard! Doing those things! But with determination, hopefully we can do it.

Thank you for the reminder. Me~thinks we all need this sort of a reminder. ~smile~

  3. I love that candle for you. This really is a weird September isn't it? But there's goodness too, which we can all be thankful for. Have a great weekend.

  4. Beautiful pictures of your September. I am feeling very able to appreciate all that is September, even in the midst of the challenges in today's world. It's just too beautiful, and my spirits are high! Today is always a somber day, however. Seems like it was yesterday sometimes. I will never forget, that's for sure!

  6. Belated Birthday wishes for hubby who seems to have had a wonderful celebration. What could be better than family and cake of course! Sadly, 9/11 changed our world and is something wherever we live we will never forget.

  7. Beautiful words, Billie Jo, and I was just thinking the same thing about the world changing, but not letting it change me. And nature always stays the same, that is so comforting, isn't it? Your doggy looks so adorable with her rose, and I wanted to tell you that I have that same felt rose, only mine is red. A wonderful family photo and beautiful water views.

Have a lovely weekend. Oh, I want a piece of that cake with my coffee. ; )
