Weekend Plans And It's Almost Christmas!

Well, that week went by quickly! How are you doing, my friends? Are you ready? Christmas comes whether we are ready or not, so why not relax and enjoy these last few days of anticipation? We plan on doing just that. Saturday will be a quiet morning with Mass in the afternoon, followed by dinner. Then we are planning on popcorn and Rudolph to end the night.

Sunday we are having our traditional Rudolph Breakfast. It is a simple, fun breakfast that we consider the official start of our Christmas season. I will also iron the Christmas tablecloth and get out the beautiful, new silverware Nicolas' mother brought me when she visited last summer. I will also wash and fold the "secret" Christmas Eve pajamas so they are ready for Christmas Eve. I have been doing this since the kids were babies, and although they know they are getting them, they always humor me and act surprised. : )

But first...

Last week involved Mass, a Steeler game, and a pedicure for some...

And quite a bit of cozy couch sitting, tea drinking, tree watching time for others.

Have a cozy, festive weekend, my friends.
I will pop in here on Christmas Eve, so see you all then!

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Yes, I am pretty much pooped out too, lol. But I am done (at least as far as I'm going to get) and will now relax and visit with loved ones until Christmas is over. Have an awesome Christmas!

  4. Merry Christmas!! Traditions are so important. We give each of our children now 20 and 22 a Christmas ornament every year since birth, Just when I think it doesn't matter to them anymore...my daughter will ask" are we getting an ornament this year"

Enjoy the new cozy jammies!!! Janie

  7. Loved all of your cozy preparations for Christmas...and the pictures were all wonderful but I especially liked the one of Nicolas and Flynn. Twinings teas are so good. I like the lemon and ginger one that you have pictured. Last evening when we were at the store I picked up a box of their Buttermint. Oh, my! I can close my eyes and believe that I am eating those yummy butter mints that are so popular.

  10. Love seeing all your Christmas pictures! My weekend is going to be full of a bit of hustle and bustle after working all week. Early mornings only though (not braving those afternoon crowds). Lemon ginger tea sounds fantastic! I was singing Rudolph at school today (even the 2 year old class knows that one) Merry Christmas to you and your family!
