How Many Days Until...

I know, I know. Don't hate on me! I am enjoying these glorious days of summer as much as the next guy. Or girl. But this time of year always tugs on my heart just a bit. OK. A lot. A few cooler days sprinkled among those hot and humid ones make me realize that my beloved days of September, October, and November are now closer than farther away. And that makes this pumpkin~flavored~everything lover,  cozy sweater wearing, changing autumn leaves watcher VERY happy.

So. How many days until...

 AUTUMN?
(IF YOU WANT TO BE TECHNICAL)

61 days~

AUTUMN?
( ACCORDING TO ME~
ALSO KNOWN AS SEPTEMBER 1st?)

40 days~

AND FINALLY...
HALLOWEEN????

100 days!!!

In the meantime...I will continue to enjoy these lovely summer days filled with sun and fun and evenings full of cookouts and deck sitting.
Promise!

(Thanks Pinterest for these awesome images.)

  7. I tend to seize the moment these days and enjoy all the seasons, but my favourite holiday would have to be Christmas.

  8. I am an Autumn lover too, Billie Jo. By the time late July rolls around I think I'm over the heat and humidity. But then I remember we still have a beach vacation with the whole family to enjoy before I can truly leave summer behind. In the meantime, I'm dreaming of cool, sweater days and pumpkins. ♥

  10. Already looking forward to September 1. It should be a national holiday to celebrate surviving the summer. LOL!

I've seen a few very early leaves turning and my sedums have flowers (even though they won't have color until September). Still, it keeps me going!

  14. I cannot wait! My husband came in a few minutes ago and said we have to make some changes. He said our electric bill was over $400! It normally runs around $150! Old house, old ac units. Ugh! It's come at a time when money is very tight. Not quite sure how we'll do it, so I'll have to be creative!
    Hugs,
    Laura
who loves fall and is so thankful she gets to see it this year!

  16. We don't get sweaters out until January or February down here in Florida, but a break in the heat would sure be welcome right now!!

  17. I am right there with you, Billie Jo, counting the days until fall, it is my favorite season, but like you will enjoy the summer days until then. We are getting a reprieve from the extreme heat with rain this week and I am enjoying this.
    Blessings,

  20. Hi Billie Jo - I am trying to catch up in blog land. I just read about your daughter's wedding! So great! Congratulations! Yes, the summer is just about over, believe it or not. Charly and I go back to school in about two weeks, so fall is coming. Love from UT to you and your lovely family! I have missed you!

  21. I'm all set to outlaw the crazy triple digits we've been experiencing down here and bring on the cooler temps! I was just thinking about showing my boycott attitude and put up a fall flag outside. Ha! (Then Mother Nature will only laugh and say, "Hold my beer.")
