Look At Her Now

A few months ago, I asked you all for prayers for my dear mother-in-law, Mum. It seemed her time here was ending, and although she said she was ready, we felt the profound sadness that comes with saying goodbye.

My friends, so often I pray the words, "Thy will be done..." without really even stopping to think what they mean. I realize now. Mum will receive her Heavenly reward in God's time. And not a minute sooner. She has more love to give. And much more to receive. She has more spring days to experience, sitting outside with the sun on her face, and more time spent enjoying children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mum has more McDonald's cheeseburgers to enjoy, and many more stories to share.

I asked for prayers for Mum last November, my friends. You prayed. And look at her now...

Steve's sister Sally sent this beautiful picture of Mum and her friend Sam.

Thank you for your prayers, my friends.
I wanted to share with you exactly how God answered them. : )

  1. It's so true, isn't it? My Mom & I often joke that "God has the plan, and SHE sure knows what she's doing". Lol

Continued prayers & blessings to your MIL. She looks amazing!! Xoxo

  3. I didn't know you back then but I am glad they prayed her through her trial(s). We just never know, do we? A year and a half ago, my husband was diagnosed with stage 4 head/neck cancer. He went in to ICU and they called our family home to say their good-byes. He struggled to recover and as of March last year he was pronounced cancer-free (against tremendous odds) and remains cancer free one year later. Our time is never ours, really. It is all in God's time.
Blessings to your Mum and the family- xo Diana

  4. I often end my prayer request with thy will be done. God's timing is always best! Nothing like the feel of the spring sun, hope Mum enjoys the warmth.

  7. So glad for you all! I read in your previous post too about your comment on medical anxiety, I am so glad you mentioned it, not because you have it, but because those of us who have it - me too! - need to know that others have it too and it has helped me to know that there is another person that means I am not alone. Hope that made sense! Glad you are OK too!!
