( A Whole Bunch Of ) Random Photos Friday

Don't say I didn't warn you. : ) This week's random photo post has just that. A multitude of random photos. So let's get right to it, shall we?

Remember when I told you we were decorating for spring as the flurries began?
Well, this is the end result of that.

It was beautiful, and I reminded myself to be in the moment and enjoy it.
More than likely, we will see buds and green leaves and rainstorms and colored leaves and barren trees before we see this again.

Once the snow died down, Steve and I hopped in our car for a quick but much needed overnight getaway to our favorite place to recharge...
Bedford Springs Resort.

Our room was charming, quaint, cozy, and immaculate...

as was the gorgeous bathroom...

which was stocked with super good smelling toiletries.

While I headed out to visit the amazing spa for some relaxation,
Steve made use of those walking sticks and walked the beautiful trails.

We braved the chilly air to sit outside on the cozy rockers before
heading down to dinner.
Four words...Lobster Macaroni and Cheese. : )

The calm, peaceful beauty is present throughout the entire resort...

This is the view the moment you walk through the doors.

You are suddenly immersed in the history of this beautiful place...

and it is simply amazing.

This article explains the wonderful history of Bedford Springs way better than I can. : )

Oh...Room Service is really good too.

So we enjoyed that before heading home to our country house and our four precious children
and two adorable pups.

My little Mocha was eagerly waiting for me...

As were these delicious-homemade-by-my-daughter-Madison
Blueberry Crumb Muffins...

and this delicious-homemade-by-my-daughter-Peyton
Chocolate Brownie Fudge Cake!

Enjoy your weekend, my friends!
Thanks for visiting.

  3. Hopefully spring will arrive soon so you can say goodbye to all that snow. What a lovely place for a getaway! Dan and I could really use one too but looking at his work schedule I'm thinking it's not going to happen any time before the fall. Happy Weekend!

  13. Hi Billie Jo!

What fun!! I'm so glad you got away, and what a gorgeous resort! Oh my goodness, I would have soaked it all in, just beautiful!!

It's so fun to get away, especially at this time of year, when things are still kind of slow - because we know that won't last!

We are headed out on Monday. Of course we will be in our trailer, that's as close to a resort as I will ever get my hubby... ;0) But we will be in a most beautiful part of the world, enjoying all the spring loveliness! God really is so good to us!

Amazing treats waiting for you! And, you will truly have to tell us more about, lobster macaroni and cheese . . . really?!

    Have a wonderful week-end!

    Hugs,
    Barb
