This cute little couple keeps me company right here on the computer desk.
I pulled out the sweet little dishes we use for snacks.
I have had this little wall decoration forever!
The smaller but still sweet basket of books that are waiting to be read after dinner.
What would a holiday be without a Little People set to play with?
Our Thanksgiving mantle...
And finally, we are loving this Be Thankful candle which burns every evening in our home.
Billie Jo, I just love how enthusiastic you are about holidays! Those little Thanksgiving people are too cute. I agree that Thanksgiving gets glossed over. We in fact don't have a single Thanksgiving specific decoration. I hope a couple of little pumpkins count! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteoh i love those plates!! i have wanted some of those since forever i think!!:)
ReplyDeletewe try hard to make thanksgiving count as it's own holiday...but the retail industry makes that hard don't they!!:)
love all your charming touches...especially the candle.
have a happy day billie jo
So cute! I love all your sweet touches! I am still acquiring holiday decorations and for some reason, Thanksgiving ones are few and far between! I'll have to hit the clearance racks in a few weeks for next year!
ReplyDeleteYour decorations are so cute. I think I have one Thanksgiving decoration. I love the idea of a book basket with holiday books. How fun.
ReplyDeleteI have that same Thanksgiving wall hanger! Right now it is on the bulletin board in our school room area. Cute decorations, Billie Jo :)
ReplyDeleteLove love love love it all! I didn't know there was a Little People set.. darling! And that basket of books you know I love. I adore your dishes too!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Thanksgiving gets passed over so quickly. As soon as the day is done around here I scurry to pack it away to get out those red and green bins from the attic. Ohh I can't wait!
I love your Thanksgiving decorations. Love the cute little people Thanksgiving set.
ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Thanksgiving. I went to Micheals today and all of the fall stuff was gone. I feel rushed once Halloween is over to start thinking of Christmas.
Hope you are enjoying you Monday!
You are so cute! I love all your holiday decorations! We are definitely guilty of rushing through Thanksgiving for Christmas. Thanks for the reminder to slow down and enjoy it! :)
ReplyDeleteLoving all your Thanksgiving holiday decorations. Sadly, I have too little, but I do use lots of seasonal candles, pumpkins and gourds that I keep out until the day after Thanksgiving. I used to be guilty of rushing it...but since I delivered a precious soon-to-be 6-year old 4 days before Thanksgiving that year, I now an conscientious about not moving into Christmas mode too soon! After all, he was my "Thanksgiving" baby and I don't want to make Benjamin feel like we gloss over the month of November in anticipation of Christmas!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
val
P.S. Do you own, Twas the Night Before Thanksgiving by Dav Pilkey? One of my absolute FAVORITE books. I used it all of the time with my 3rd graders!!! Follows Twas the Night Before Christmas rhyming scheme...told from the POV of the turkeys! So stinkin' cute!
