I Was Just Wondering

 Do you prefer

1. Having excessive amounts of heavy snow falling on Christmas or sun and eighty-degree weather?

2. Eating your big, fancy meal on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?

3. Slowly opening presents one at a time so everyone can see everything, or have a total unwrapping frenzy, complete with shouts of joy?

Rudolph or Frosty? Serious stuff here, my friends.

5. Putting all the presents away on Christmas Day, or leaving them set out for a while?

6. Hosting a big holiday party or attending one?

I know. This is really not the most intellectual or thought-provoking post. It is, however, fun. And who doesn't enjoy a little Christmas fun this time of year?

Have a cozy, fun Wednesday, my friends!

P.S. My answers, if you were wondering...

1. Give me all the snow at Christmas!!!! Please! As long as no one is traveling and everyone is safe and sound and cozy.

2. We eat our big meal on Christmas Eve at Madison and Nicolas' house. They host a traditional Danish Christmas, and we love it. On Christmas Day, I will have appetizers and soup so people can eat whenever they choose. We do have a simple but delicious Christmas brunch before opening presents.

3. Now that our kids are older, we like to gather by the tree and take our time opening gifts. When they were little? Different story!

4. Rudolph. Always.

5. I always leave our gifts out for a while. My Dad used to love sitting by the tree and looking at his new shirts, pajamas, and Old Spice underneath. When my kids were little, they would always ask me to "organize their piles," and I would leave their things out through New Year's. If there is a time for a messy, chaotic family room, Christmas is that time.

6. Trick question. Neither. But you already knew that, right??

  1. Good Morning,
Snow, snow, snow, let it snow, let it snow.
We have our dinner on Christmas Eve, with snacks on Christmas Day.
We open our gifts slowly, letting all to see what we received.
    Frosty!!
We leave our presents out for a day or two.

    Frosty

  3. Oooh, I love surveys!

    1. I would love to experience a white Christmas. I think that would feel so magical.
    2. We usually split the two days between my in-laws and my parents so we do both.
    3. Slowly opening and savoring the moment since it goes by fast anyway but when my kids were smaller they tore into them all like crazy. I probably did too as a kid, I'm sure.
    4. Both are adorable but maybe I'll pick Rudolph.
    5. Depends on the present. Some can be used right away and some just seem to sit under the tree for awhile.
    6. I usually take care of Thanksgiving and my sister-in-law hosts Christmas. If I had more space in my house I'd be okay with hosting, but like you if it was my way I'd prefer neither and avoid family drama (like I did this year for Thanksgiving). I like my peace and comfort.

Thanks, that was fun and I love your answers.

  4. Snow especially if we aren't traveling.
If we go to my parents, then the big meal is on Christmas Day around 1.
Presents are opened slowly to savor.
I like both, but would pick Rudolph.
Put away after a thank you note is written.
    Nope to hosting or attending.

  5. I prefer neither too. Time with family is all I need

  6. I don't miss the snow, I grew up in Illinois and live in Southern California now, but would like to drive up to the mountains to see some. Christmas Day for the big meal. One gift at a time. Both Christmas movies. We leave them sit under the tree for a while. Attending a party. Enjoyed reading your answers.

  7. 1. I lived in SW Florida for 20 years and really missed snow a lot. I appreciate the four traditional seasons.
    2. We always did Christmas day in the past, but we are changing that to Christmas Eve this year with a big breakfast Christmas morning and then appetizers, leftovers, etc. for Christmas day.
    3. Opening gifts one person at a time.
    4. Rudolph
    5. We leave them out for a few days.
    6. I used to equally love both but now neither.
    Have a great day!!
