You are so right Billie Jo. This is not the heat I am used to. Our feels like temp for the last three days was 115F. Crazy!! But a cool front is coming Friday and lows will be in the 50's!! I can't wait.
This heat definitely doesn't feel like it used to and a big thank you for air conditioning. I don't mind warm and can't stand the freezing cold but there comes a point when the heat is just too much, even for me.
I was just saying to Matt the other day: " God bless whomever invented a/c!" Lol Now I know who to thank. Love this and hoping you stay cool dear FRiend! xoxo
All hail Willis!!!! It has been nearly 100 here, plus muggy. Our local weather show has a swamp meter to show how much humidity we have. We are almost at the swamp point.
OH my goodness! Since our pool hit the old junk yard this summer after 3 swims, the heat seems to be much worse! I went out in this hell summer heat today and cursed! Bring on the fall!
Carrier Corporation was started in Syracuse, NY, not too far from here. One of my sons actually works for them as an HVAC technician. I agree, we have much to be thankful for. This is the first time we have ever had air conditioning in our house, except for a window unit we would put in sometimes when it was unbearable, and shh, one in our bedroom. Now the house is 74 degrees, and it's unbelievably nice. Outside is like an oven. I love it when I'm getting in and out of the water at the pool or beach, but other than that, it makes me feel so blah. I wonder how the road construction crews can wear all those clothes and work in this heat...
We should definitely be grateful to Mr. Carrier!! We have been very hot here (Greece) too, luckily it rained a little last night and so it cooled down!! Have a nice day Billy Joe!!
I get the distinct impression that you think it's HOT! lol I have to agree...yesterday was one of the hottest days of the summer...not necessarily temperature wise, but more so the humidity. I stepped outside to get the mail, and it almost took my breath away.
We had hot here too for the past few days but today is cool and rainy (and cozy!). I think I might even start decorating for fall. Yipee! When do you start? Have a great day Billie Jo!
You have hit the nail on the head....This heat is Horrible and it's even too hot to hang out at the pool.... I'm ready for Fall and I know you are as well Billie Jo. The heat makes me want to pull out my pumpkins and turn the air conditioner down to 60... lol
Hahaaa....It's Hell Naw...lolol...love them all!
ReplyDeleteStay cool!
hugs

ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Billie Jo...and it has nothing to do with our age, does it?!! ;-) Love, Andrea xoxo

ReplyDeleteIt has been hot, but it is the perfect swimming weather and the perfect weather to avoid everything else.
ReplyDeleteIt’s too hot to think!

It might be a little cooler if there were less humans on the planet.

ReplyDeleteYes. Yes. Amen. I have never minded being cold... you can always add a layer. But there's only so much you can do to cool off!!

ReplyDeleteUntil reading your post, I did not know who invented AC but now I know and yes, indeed, I am thankful for him!!!

Hell naw degrees is my favorite saying now!
ReplyDeleteI have the biggest grin on my face right now!
ReplyDeleteThose were great. Yeah, I don't think temps in the 90's now are anything like they were when I was a child.
ReplyDeleteYikes!
