Soup To Make You Feel Better

Hello, my friends! I was so happy to catch up with you this week! Unfortunately, many of us here in Blogland are battling colds, coughs, and other assorted viruses. We are on the mend here; Flynn is recovering quickly, I am in the middle, and Rhett is clinging to last place with a cough like no other. Thankfully, we all saw the doctor and found it to be a virus that must run the course. We left with instructions to rest, hydrate, and load up on Vitamin C. Madison sent me a link to a most delicious chicken soup, and I made it last night. I am sharing it here because it is good, simple, and makes us feel better.

I will link the recipe below. I am also eating some good breakfasts with a new-to-me fruit: raspberry oranges! So good! We are laying low this weekend and snuggling in with movies, online mass, warm beverages, and books. I hope you all have a happy, healthy weekend, my friends! Stay healthy, comfortable, and warm!

Just click on the link. Now, I did make it a bit easier on myself. I used a rotisserie chicken and prechopped vegetables. I also used organic chicken bone broth and elbow macaroni. Enjoy!

Billie Jo

  8. This soup looks good! I've never seen it with elbow macaroni before, but it's still a noodle, right?
I've also never heard of raspberry oranges, but they sound wonderful!
I hope your household is soon all better!

  9. What a delicious looking chicken soup! I love organic chicken bone broth and use it often in soups and it's even nice to sip on. I have never seen or even heard of a raspberry orange, but now I have to have one! I'll be on the lookout out for these when I go grocery shopping on Sunday. I'm loving oranges this time year and all the Vitamin C they offer which we all need more of. I also hope you have a healthy, happy, cozy, and restful weekend.

  10. Dearest Billie Jo,
Thanks for that delicious chicken soup recipe!
You no doubt will be all on the mend with such special food.
We enjoyed two balmy warm days of 77°F and today I walked in my shorts for the first time.
With the wheelchair (using it as a walker) and resting a few times in it after pushing uphill.
But it sure feels great. My weight is from 88 pounds back to 100 pounds (in 3.5 months...!) and I need 16 more to gain back for being like I was before the accident.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  16. I am glad you are feeling better!! I remember eating chicken noodle soup from Campbells soup years ago. I am a bit allergic or possibly a cold. My husband and I went over to Panera for lunch as I had a discount to use today only due to my sip club. I like eating their food and their chicken noodle soup is good as well. I only at half a sandwich though. Have a good weekend and look forward to your next post on Monday!!

  22. Madison's chicken soup is perfect for helping everyone get well. So sorry you are all under the weather. And poor Rhett with the cough. I seem to get the coughs as well after a cold, and they can last for so long. I hope you all feel better, and I just love the characters you make of yourself. They are sooo cute. : )

ps.....whenever I get a cold, I take garlic tablets, and it usually cuts the time in half. Just thought I'd mention.
