I love it! I posted a similar picture on Facebook yesterday...a Canada goose and several ducks all face-to-face on a pond...and I said the same thing! I would have loved to know what the discussion was all about! LOL! Nice pics!
This Cardinal looks like he is really scolding the Blue Jay! And he likely deserves it. Blue Jays are such noisy bullies. I once saw one take a worm right out of another bird's beak! Great capture!
"Hey, did you hear what's happening over at Billie Jo's house?" "No what?" "She put in a beautiful new blog background, and shared a beautiful photo of us chatting er chirping!"
What a beautiful shot! My grandmother would have loved it. She fed the birds every day at the feeder outside her dining room window. So many different birds came, but always Cardinals and Blue Jays.
Mornin’, Billie Jo! I just love birds — We have big bushes all along our back fence and they are home to several cardinal families and many blue jays — they are such fun and so colorful. We have a woodpecker, however, that lives in our oak tree and it is so territorial that is just squawks all the time — so loud! - but very handsome! Have a great day!
Oh what amazing photos! Great capture. :) I think the blue jay is telling the cardinal that red is so out now that the holidays are over. And the cardinal is saying that's a mean thing to say, so in that case the blue jay doesn't get to touch birdie breakfast until there's an apology. Cliff hanger: so does the blue jay ever apologize & get to dine at the birdseed cafe again? hmmmm 😁
These are such great photos! I can only imagine what is being said to each other. I would guess it wasn't very pleasant for such gorgeous birds. :-) Blessings and hugs, Betsy
Oh, the red cardinal makes my heart sing. These are wonderful photos. I don't see the red cardinal here in California where I live, so it's always been a dream of mine to see this gorgeous bird. Thanks for sharing, Billie Jo. : )
Happy Wednesday! What beautiful pictures. Hugs to you my friend.

ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure the cardinal is laying claim to all the sunflower seed.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like they are telling each other, "Back off, this is my food!" Beautiful picture. I absolutely love birds.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of those colorful birdies. I think the commenters above have hit the nail on the head with regards to captions.
ReplyDeleteI was here first, find your own feeder!

ReplyDeleteI love Cardinals, we don't have them here.
ReplyDeleteThey are talking about who is really the boss at the feeder. Great shot, by the way. xx
ReplyDelete"We discussed this at the meeting! Cardinals in the morning, Blue Jays in the evening. Wait your turn!" Great photos.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute. The cardinal is saying "It's my turn. Go away."
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute! I think they are arguing over who is supposed to be there. :)
