Thank You Thoughts

Hello, my friends. I am so very thankful to all of you for your comments and prayers and thoughts and validation. I hope you know I read, and reread them all. I also felt the love of this wonderful space and was comforted by you all. I have visited the doctor and readjusted my medication, spent time in prayer, and even went for a swim in the lake! Exercise is good for anxiety, they tell me. Figures! In any case, I am feeling more like myself, and hope to be back to our regular programming soon.

Have a cozy Wednesday, my friends!
Thank you again!

  1. Oh, Saint Padre Pio, one of my beloved Saints. I will have to check out your previous post, so I can understand a little more. I hope you are feeling better, Billie Jo. : )

  2. Hi Billie Jo - So glad you are feeling better. Yes, exercise helps anxiety and depression - hence my daily walks. I love the quote by Saint Padre Pio, as well as the other meme you posted. So true. I am working through this kind of stuff too, so I do understand. Two steps forward, one step back, but always getting up and trying again. Sending you love, prayer and virtual hugs, my dear friend.

  3. Wonderful words from St. Padre Pio. I aim to take them to heart. I did something for me to relieve anxiety and replace it with calm, I bought a tongue drum. Very soothing. That is what my blog post is about today. Sending you good vibes.

  4. AS blogger was not allowing me to make comments or read blogs last week, I thought it was my fault and here you have had a relapse. I feel your pain my friend. I too suffer from anxiety and depression and the way I combat it is through working (too much). My brain never sleeps and pings around and around. It is so hard. Last month I went to see my primary doc, who I have known for over 30 years. I had both his girls in my dance classes. He and his wife have danced for me to fill the stage in the Nutcracker. He suggested an adhd med for me. I HAD NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT. I mean I always knew I was different, but because i can get so many things done so quickly and I am productive, I never thought I had a medical problem. SO far three weeks in I can see a difference.

  7. I'm glad to hear you went to the doctor. I just want you to know you are not alone. I don't have OCD but I do suffer with anxiety and depression, as you know. I am praying for you!!!

  8. Yesss, Saint Padre Pio!
Unfortunately, yes, exercise is good for everything healthwise. But swimming sounds more like fun than exercise. You like to walk too, right? And remember, your favorite season will be here before you know it!!! Nothing like an autumn walk : )
My final thought is a quote I got somewhere long ago that remains posted on the side of my refrigerator: Faith is the refusal to panic
    Keeping you in prayer xo

  10. Why does exercise have to be good for anxiety? Why can't it be an extra large cup of coffee with pumpkin creamer instead? Now that would be great wouldn't it? All kidding aside, exercise is a wonderful mood lifter. Glad you're feeling better. Take care.
