Check It Off

Yep. Today was the day. I had my yearly screening mammogram. This is a tough one for me. My health anxiety seems to dwell on this in particular, and I have to force myself to deal with the anxiety. I think it is very common for women to fear this annual exam. How do I make it easier? I have an awesome support system, unending faith in God, a super husband who takes me, and perhaps my best tip? I schedule my yearly female appointment right after. Then, we can discuss any issues, and I am done for another year.

Thanks be to God, I am clear for another year. So, I check that off the list. And enjoy my last little tip. Treat yourself to something special!

My first official Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season!

Have a good day, dear friends.
Thanks for visiting.

  3. On my....I read your blog but never comment, but I had to this time, because the exact same anxiety about mammos. And I always get it done before my yearly, so my stress is over for awhile. And I trust God to go with me. I go alone though, because my husband has medical anxieties of his own.

  4. Oy....now I feel guilty. I am rather overdue for this and for the female appointment. I don't know why I procrastinate on the mammogram, the other is because I've had a rather serious problem in the past that required frequent and painful checks. I just dread it so much now. I will go, but I have to psych myself up to it.

  10. I have the same anxiety. I have several biopsies with benign results, PRAISE GOD! I have to determine to set my mind on "these things," and one being a "good report." We women all share so much together.

  11. I never look forward to this yearly appointment. I had mine last month.
I always pray and thank God in advance for good results and clear mammogram. I'm always so happy when the screening is finished and I'm able to leave. I think I almost run out of the place. Then I sit in my car for a few minutes and say thank you Lord for a good report. So thankful you received a good report, as well. Thats good news!
