Reading this.
And it is amazing. It is so beautifully written and captivating as well.
I read long into the night with this one!
Eating this.
Baby romaine, grilled chicken, cherry tomatoes, Fontina cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and avocado with balsamic vinegar. So easy if I prep a few things beforehand. So delicious. And feels so fancy!
Waking to this.
Today, I woke to this. What else is there to say?
Missing this.
I miss taking my babies for walks. I loved to push them, and talk with them, and show them things along the way. I still remember pushing Peyton and Rhett in a double stroller up and down our little road every day at 10:00. This is my last baby, Flynn. I still remember putting on her sweater and her hat. And how she brought Abby Cadabby with us every single day.
Have a cozy Wednesday, my friends.
Thanks for stopping!
I loved baby stroller walks too. so so much... cheerios on the little tray for them to munch on. Sunshine, fresh air, moving, being together. Loved it all.
ReplyDeleteOh, I miss those little ones too, Billie Jo. I was a stay at home Mom and was with my children all day and night. How can we not remember those precious times? Flynn looks adorable in her sweater, and that is the cutest hat! She looks comfortable. The salad looks so good, and healthy too. Rebecca sounds like a good book. That was my Mother's name (spelled Rebeca), so it spoke to my heart. Such a lovely post this morning, Billie Jo.

I love the sweet memories! My boys are YOUR age but I still have those same happy memories of when they were little. Have you seen the movie? OH MY! This is one of my MOST favorite books of all time. And the movie is fabulous! You HAVE to see it!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo~

Hi Billie Jo- I read that book a long time ago, and I remember it was very good. I should read it again. There was a PBS Masterpiece series back in the 80s based on the book. That's what got me interested in it. Yes, I miss having my kids little. I took mine for walks too and that was always a nice time, walking with them and pointing things out to them, like flowers and birds and bugs. Good memories. I hope your week is going well. I always love your book recommendations. You have some good ones!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhhhh, I lost my comment!!!! -sigh- And I have to 'copy and paste' every "r" into my comments. Since my keyboard is still not working correctly all the time. So..... -sigh- I'm afraid I can not redo it. -pout- -smile-
ReplyDeleteI read that in high school. Loved the book, loved the author.
ReplyDeleteI loved that book! I miss those days of going on walks when my kids were little. We stopped often looking at everything. Your salad looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day!
That's a great book! Your salad would make me happy. And that darling photo of Flynn...remembering precious memories of my own children and grandchildren as babies. A mother's heart always remembers.
ReplyDeleteThat book looks interesting. I always preferred it once the kids could walk with me though the stroller always made for great storage, miss that ;) Happy almost the weekend!
ReplyDeleteSweet memories of children. We have 3 grandchildren and some of their facial expressions remind me of our children. Melody's smile looks like my mom's smile. I didn't do much today. Did make dinner. Lunch was interesting as I heated up sweet potato fries and cooked pork, that was chopped. Heated up a tortilla then put 1st 2 items on it and a sliced hard boiled egg over it and ranch dressing. Dressing and fries were left over from dining out at Red Robin Tues evening. It did taste good!!! I did a bit of work this p.m. plant wise. It is warm and dry here in Oregon. 102 on Sat. Not going where I was hoping to go. Nope! take care!!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the book to and also the film is worth a watch. I have lovely memories of walking with my girls who are all grown and have children of their own. Sweet memories that never fade.
ReplyDeleteI miss pushing a stroller. It feels like only yesterday. X
