Friday Photos And Things

Ahhhh. The weekend. A spring weekend at that! The weather will be springlike here, so Steve plans to start the annual "Get ready for summer" process. Although, I swear it seems like just yesterday we put summer away! While he is doing that, I plan on doing not much other than some laundry, reading, cooking, and supervising, of course. : )

I just finished the book I shared above. I have to tell you, I am a reader. I literally love to read and get lost in the lives of characters I will never meet. This book is amazing. It is a story of a family impacted by mental illness and the effects it has had on loved ones through the years. Highly recommend.

Another recommendation? The Hershey Checkers game. Flynn and I played this yesterday, and while it is the same simple game we know and love, playing with Hershey Kiss and Reese Cup pieces makes it even more fun. Flynn beat me, by the way. Flynn received this from the Easter Bunny, but I am sure I saw it on Zulily not too long ago.

And finally. Peyton's brownies. These are the BEST brownies I have ever tasted. She made some this week with leftover Easter candy. We had some peanut butter eggs, Twix, Milky Way, and Snickers around, so she chopped them up and added them to our favorite Ghiradelli mix. She always adds an extra egg too.

Well, that is all I have today. my friends. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, whatever you have planned. Stay safe, cozy, and happy. Thanks for visiting!

  2. Ohhhhhhh, those brownies!!!!

How do you manage to *exist*... Surrounded by all such "goodies"???? ~giggggles~

No, I mean it. I'm pretty sure you don't eat all of them. Just having such "around," would be such a chore, for me to refrain from eating. You must have much willpower.

I know you have young people around, and they can eat them. And thus, you are super~wonderful, to be able to not!!!

    Have a lovely weekend!!!!

  10. Sounds like a great book - I am right now in the middle of 3 books - all rereads but they comfort me in busy times and I love them so much so I don't mind at all - I save new reads for the summer - but even then I have to reread the whole Anne of Green Gables series

ps.....I visited your Madison's blog the other day. I noticed it on your side bar. I left a comment, but not sure
if she got it, it may have been eaten up. But please tell her it's a lovely blog, and she has so many creative ideas, like you, Billie Jo. Her first Christmas at her home looked wonderful.
