A Special Little Homeschool Helper

Flynn and I had a little helper this week as we homeschooled at our kitchen table. I suppose this is no surprise since Mocha has been schooling with us since she was a tiny pup. When we first brought Mocha home, Flynn was in Kindergarten, learning letters and numbers, while sitting at her little Pottery Barn table. Mocha fit inside the pocket of my hoodie, and she would be there with us each day. The letters and numbers have become long division with remainders and reading comprehension discussions on biographies of famous people, but Mocha still enjoys joining us from time to time. She either likes learning a great deal or she just really loves her mommy.

Have a cozy weekend, my friends. Nothing much planned here during these cold January days. Football for some, binge-watching Netflix for others. And some coffee and reading too. Thanks for stopping in!

  1. Sweet puppy! I have a tip for changing the tags on the dogs' collars. Use a staple remover to open up the ring. And thanks for the recipe for soup and the Pepperidge Farm bread suggestion. My husband is at the grocery now with those items on his list. Have a great weekend.

  2. I think I might struggle with home schooling if there was such an adorable distraction. X

  4. Little Mocha is such a sweetie! Our pup loves to be close by us or on one of laps as we homeschool throughout the day and I wouldn't have it any other way. Your weekend sounds a lot like ours. Just staying in and staying cozy - might get our for a walk at some point. Take care, friend.

  19. hehehehe, Mocha is too funny sitting there and learning with Flynn. These are such cute pictures. Speaking of binge-watching on Netfliz. Have you ever seen Virgin River? I'm up to the second season, and I'm hooked. You get to know the characters, and you might like it. Tell Flynn to hang in there with the Math. That was my worst subject, ugggh. You have made a wonderful and safe environment there for her to learn.
