Pumpkin Patch And Make New Friends

What began over twenty years ago with a little girl in a pumpkin sweater and Halloween hairbow continued this past weekend with our annual family visit to the pumpkin patch. That little family has grown, the matching pumpkin sweatshirts are no longer, but the tradition and fun continue. Steve and I do not take for granted just how blessed we are all our children enjoy spending time together doing the simple things that unite us as a family.

We gathered at a beautiful farm nearby, picked pumpkins and cornstalks, kept social distancing, and enjoyed the amazing view. Then it was home to pizza and Halloween Place and Bake Cookies. Nothing fancy. Just fun. And family. Just us.

On another note, I have been thinking...again...how much I love this space here. I know that perhaps Blogging has seen its day, replaced by the numerous platforms that offer faster feedback and less cumbersome time. I am not, however, giving up that easily! I am hopeful that perhaps making new friends and finding new places to visit may encourage more love of blogging. If you would like to add your blog so that others may stop in for a visit, please link it down below. Feel free to link one of your favorite blogs too! Then pour a cup of whatever makes you happy, and spend some time visiting some new friends. What do you think? Worth a try, right?

Have a cozy autumn Wednesday, my friends!
Thanks for visiting!

  2. I am smiling right now, Billie Jo - visiting the pumpkin patch is such a wonderful thing, and has been a tradition in our family as well. And you even brought your dogs you join in the fun. That last picture of Flynn enjoying the pumpkins is sweet while she's still so young. And I couldn't help smiling at Peyton's red plaid shirt, as red plaid makes my heart sing. Looks like everyone is having such a wonderful time, and the scenery around the pumpkin patch is so pretty. I hope you got your self a pumpkin or two to take home. : )

  10. You have a beautiful family and I've so enjoyed visiting your blog! As a dog lover, I am also feeling the vibe of togetherness. You ARE blessed and most of all, you realize that!

I thank you for visiting my blog, otherwise I would not have had the pleasure of visiting yours! Blogging changes, and it has many times in the 11 years I've been writing. But---we who enjoy the photos and sharing our worlds, it will hang around. I can't believe I would be a published writer if I hadn't started to exercise my writing chomps way back then!

You are lovely for asking we share out websites. Although I need to get moving on writing more, here it is: http://blondiesjournals.blogspot.com
