I am working around today, organizing and rearranging. I have a lovely little spot above my sink and Madison brought me some fresh herbs to place there! This house is beginning to feel like home, as our furniture works perfectly in the space. We celebrated last night with some delicious tarts from a new business here in town. She calls herself The Queen of Tarts, and indeed she is! We had our first visitors too! A beautiful doe and her growing fawn dropped in to say hello. And finally, I leave you with my morning coffee, as I so often do. No matter where we are, family, consistency, tradition, and calm make us feel at home.
Have a lovely Monday, my friends!
I will be around soon to visit.
Congratulations on your new home! Looks very cozy and it looks like you are going to get to enjoy some fantastic views out those windows. Hope you enjoy your new week in your new home.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I am so very happy for you. smiles
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy for you all. I bet you are having fun planning and decorating the new canvas. Those tarts looks crazy amazing. Please pass me a piece or four.
ReplyDeleteThat was the fastest and smoothest move I've ever heard of!! You didn't have any movers??? Just your family? We have furniture that's WAY too heavy for any of us to lift! :) Your new home looks SO cozy and warm- and I loved seeing the water out the window- yeah!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh I am so happy that you all pull together and make lovely family things happen. But then, this is the way you brought your family up. Soooo.... Mama and Dad, give yourselves a pat on the back. ~smile~
ReplyDeleteAs the old saying goes, we reap what we sow, and you are a lovely example of this.
Enjoy your day of "getting things just right." Or rather, of "making everything feel like home."
And what a beautiful place you have picked!!!! Just look at those delightful window views.

Looks lovely! What a treat to see deer out your window, hopefully they come along often! Those tarts are so dreamy. Have a great first Monday settling in.
ReplyDeleteYour home looks lovely, Billie Jo. The deer are a pleasant sight for sure. I've always thought they were special animals, and when we see them, it is a gift. So glad to hear your move went smoothly. Moving can be hard, and I may be in for another one soon, we'll see. ; )
ReplyDeleteHappy August days to you, Billie Jo. Enjoy your new home, and those tarts look amazing.
