September Days

September is my favorite. Fall is just beginning. It is the promise of cooler days and crisp, colorful leaves. The hustle of the autumn and winter holidays are weeks away, so we are free to simply be.

We take leisurely walks after lunch each day, and marvel at the subtle changes from one day to the next. September days offer beauty as well as opportunities for learning that doesn't come from books.

These September days also brought a Pirate baseball game for some, fresh fall puppy cuts for others, pumpkin spice coffee in bed, and a quick but delicious...and not too sweet...dessert thanks to Target.

I hope your September days are cozy and lovely and yummy, my friends.
Thanks for visiting!

  5. Isn't goodies at Target the best? I always find something special there. The apple cider cake and frosting looks so moist and Yummy. Your dogs are so cute in their Fall bandanas and bows. And I love that Fall cup. Yes, everything about Fall is appealing to me.

    Have a gentle weekend.

  11. LOVE September too! Yesterday I noticed a red leaf on a tree outside work and it made my day! Noticing those little changes helps me deal with the fact that we're still in the 90's.

  14. Look how pretty those pups look! I need to work on Sharky, maybe that's what I'll do today.
You are right about September and the calm... I am already enjoying fall and it hasn't even officially arrived yet.
That cake!! There is a place nearby that sells warm apple cider donuts and my gosh, It's all that I can think about. I want one or FIVE. I haven't had one since the first day that I quit smoking and I am trying to wait for my 1yr anniversary to treat myself. It's going down!!!!!
    Have a great new week.

  16. When we lived up in the Midwest, September was my favorite time of the year. I remember the last school I taught at was surrounded by beautiful Maple and Oak trees. I can picture myself walking from the parking lot into the school building with a warm, harvest summer breeze blowing the leaves all around me. I miss those days down here in TX as well as the apple orchards and (real) pumpkin patches. Enjoy every minute. BTW, I thought the acorn was a cupcake for a hot second. LOL
