Scenes From The Start Of Summer

Some of my kids are mosquito magnets. Literally. I have found that the Children's Benadryl Cooling Gel works wonders, especially since I keep it in the refrigerator. Little tip there for you!

We are finishing up third grade, and are loving schooling outside. Flynn is also loving the "school lunches" Peyton brings out to her. Note to self: Always buy more hotdog buns than you think you need.

Madison and I attend a Ladies Luncheon once a month, and this past Wednesday was our day. It is a beautiful thing when your child becomes your friend. The luncheon was lovely, and the food delicious!

I am still enjoying my morning walks. I just love watching the world come to life each and every day. I also love the friends I see along the way. That buck was a bit standoffish, and the lizard gave me the cold shoulder. But I understand. I like my alone time too.

And are we the last place around to have grocery pick up? My favorite store just began offering it and we are really happy about that. I actually like grocery shopping. I enjoy strolling through the aisles and finding the freshest and most delicious items. I have many memories of pushing babies and toddlers while choosing special treats. There are times, however, that ordering online and picking up is the way to go. So yay for that!

Well, there you have it. A few moments from my blissfully happy, perfectly mundane life. Have a lovely weekend, my friends!

  9. Sounds like your summer is going great! We have the same issue with mosquitos. They LOVE us! And we use the same anti-itch. Although I've never tried keeping it in the fridge. Sounds like a great idea!

Summer at your house sounds delightful; shy deer and cold-shoulder-giving lizard and all. :)

As always I so enjoy visiting.

  14. I love food shopping too! I find so much inspiration when I browse. But for this phase of life grocery pick up is so much easier, especially for big or heavy items so right now we enjoy a combo of both. Speaking of, I'm going to add that cooling gel to my cart right now - thanks for the tip. My morning walk is one of my favorite times of the day, especially this time of the year when the sun rises so early. Happy Monday!
