Friday

Happy Friday, friends! I hope your week provided some fun and some rest, and possibly some good food as well. Here are probably way too many photos of the past week in our cozy world.

Third grade is going wonderfully! I feel blessed to be able to spend my weekdays doing two things I love: being with my Flynn and teaching. I tell my children often, that whatever they choose to do in life, choose something they love.

And in case you were wondering, homeschoolers do have sick days.
We had a few down with the flu this week.
Thankfully, it was quick and fairly painless.
Don't you just love a shower and fresh jammies when you aren't feeling well?
I am happy to report both she and her brother are feeling much better.
And I am armed with Lysol in an attempt to ward off any additional casualties.

In other news, it is no secret we are diehard Steeler fans, despite the fact that so far this season they are looking less than super. Peyton, however, loves the Seahawks, especially their quarterback, Russell Wilson! They played on Monday night so Peyton made the best brownies with their colors to celebrate!

We are enjoying our first fall in our new home!
I cannot wait until the leaves start turning.

I have the perfect spot to watch it all unfold. : )

We also have the perfect place for afternoon or evening walks.

I enjoyed a  few yummy salads for lunch this week.

And the best chocolate chip cookies ever for dessert.
Peyton made some for a friend of ours and of course, we kept a few for ourselves.
We had to make sure they were good, right?

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!

  6. Sorry that sickness found your house! Hope all are better now. I grew up as a bit of a Steelers fan back in the 70's since that's who my brother cheered on all the time (still a great fan of Terry Bradshaw) but now I do cheer for my hometown team first (am I allowed to say the KC Chiefs on here? ;)). You have some amazing views around your home, can't wait to see how beautiful it will look as the leaves change. Have a great weekend!

  13. Happy Fall, Billie Jo!
Will Peyton make y'all some black & gold brownies for this coming Monday? On second thought, maybe she shouldn't, since the Seahawks lost. Anyway, go Steelers!!
I can't wait until your leaves start turning, too - looking forward to your photos. : )
