Welcome Home

I am excited to share some photos of our cozy, new home with you today. We were so blessed to find this house. An extremely gifted craftsman spent over nineteen months building this house all by himself, with no idea that a family of six would soon fall in love with it and make it their home.

To the right of the front door is our eating area.
We are loving the round table!

Our new hutch is perfect for displaying a few special pieces and some seasonal favorites too.
I am still all about the holidays. : )

To the left of the front door is the staircase that heads up to the bedrooms.

The carpet is the same on the steps as under the table.
We loved the pattern, but chose it primarily for the name: Denmark.

This cabinet sits in the entryway, and is a great place for keys and mail.

And for this beautiful personalized sign, a super thoughtful gift from two super thoughtful friends.

This beautiful angel, a gift from the amazing contractor and his wife, greets visitors to our new home.

Right off the entryway is our family room.
I absolutely love spending time here, snuggled on the sectional, watching the fire, and visiting with my people.

This little sitting room is directly next to the family room, and is what you see when you come in the door. It is a cozy spot to enjoy an afternoon cup of coffee, or an evening cup of tea.

This is the view from that cozy little spot.

Thank you for spending some time with me today here in our cozy new home.
Next week I will share the kitchen, powder room, and laundry room with you.
I hope you enjoyed your visit, and will return again soon.

Oh, I must mention the amazingly talented designers who worked with us to create our beautiful living space! Marcy and Colleen from our favorite local furniture store went above and beyond to help us find and place the perfect pieces for our new home. In fact, they even read here to find out more about our family and the way we live so as to make sure we would be happy.
They were successful. : )

Have a wonderful day, my friends!
