The week passed quickly. Here is what we were up to...
Why do we always take selfies on the way to Mass?
Simple. It is the one time a week we are all dressed and ready!
Me. Ready for Mass...
Me. Every other day
(New favorite shirt from Gap.)
I want to be real here.
I don't ever want it to seem that I always have it all together.
Moving is messy.
My house is a hot mess.
Twenty one years of toys.
Well, the favorite ones, anyway.
I cannot, and will not give them up.
We are gathering new things as well as packing and donating the old.
Any guesses on the new color scheme?
Meals are a bit less complicated around here lately,
But I am not complaining!
And take out is popular too.
Our Dairy Queen introduced a new treat!
And I love it!!
It is called the Midnight Mocha Ultimate Frappe.
It is an iced coffee with soft serve, cocoa fudge and finely chopped chocolate chips...
Goes great with my side Caesar Salad from Wendy's.
Leaving you with these...
Please forgive me if I sound as if I'm whining.
I suppose I am.
This is a great exercise in patience and finding peace amid chaos for me.
And that is good.
Have a great weekend, my friends.
Thanks for visiting!
Oh my! That coffee looks delicious.ReplyDelete
Packing is not my favorite. I hope it goes quickly for you.
That Dairy Queen treat looks so yummy!! It sounds like you are making lots of progress with packing/moving. We moved last summer, so I totally know where you are coming from. Hope you have a great weekend'ReplyDelete
I have long believed that sometimes, Lent finds you. I think with the packing and moving etc, that it has done just that. It's your desert. And you know it's going to be fine--it's just hard. So no, you're not whining. It is hard.ReplyDelete
I love the color scheme of your new room!! And I love your yawn shirt!!
Packing and moving is not fun. However, I do enjoy unpacking and finding a new home for the things I love. The blank canvas of an empty home is exciting for me.ReplyDelete
Packing is the worst so whine away! I just can't wait to see your new home!ReplyDelete
About 5 years ago they closed the DQ near our house. And two years ago they closed the one in the mall. BUT! They just opened a new one near Peter's high school which I feel like I will be making a stop into one of these days...
Of COURSE it's hard. There must be so much to think about and do, all the while you're leaving the place that holds so many memories. I have such a hard time deciding what to keep and what to throw away. I've never been good at making decisions. Hang in there. Keep your eyes on the prize....a brand new place that will hold new memories. Someday we'll be seeing those classic toys being played with by your grandchildren!!ReplyDelete
Gotta go. I'm off to Dairy Queen ;)
I dress a lot like you most days. I try to dress nicer if I'm going out, and usually do, but not always! I often go to the grocery store or Target in what I call my "house clothes" and I'm not ashamed! :DReplyDelete
Good luck with packing!! I also saved some of my sons' favorite toys and guess what -- my grandkids love them too! So hoarding working in that case! ;) DQ is one of my favorite places -- their popcorn shrimp basket during Lent is perfection! Have a good weekend sweetie!ReplyDelete
Hang in there girl! You're doing great! It will be so worth it! Also, need to get myself to Dairy Queen ASAP! Happy Friday! ♥ReplyDelete
We moved a few yrs ago from a house we'd lived in for 40 years...It was sooo stressful, getting rid of some things, hanging on to others. The good thing, our son owns moving companies so they moved us...that was awesome.ReplyDelete
Good luck and keep those meals simple...less stress...and you will probably lose weight. lol
Hugs to you!!! I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster moving has brought to your days. :( I'm loving the new color scheme going on and soon enough you will be all moved into your new home and burning those cozy candles!ReplyDelete
Yes moving ain't to fun but it will be so worth it. You can do this.ReplyDelete
Moving is tiring mentally and physically, but if anyone can do it, and do it right, it is you. Hang in there....it will be over soon.ReplyDelete
Loved seeing all that is going on in your neck of the woods as you prepare for moving day. And doesn't it take our mom's to get us in gear some days! My mom was still doing that at 88 until she passed away in October of last year. Glad you have a lot of family and friends who are supporting you there, too. Wish I could come and help.ReplyDelete
Oh Billie Jo... I feel for you. Moving is not for sissies. We take selfies on our way to Mass because we want to see if we have a halo. I've yet to see one on me. Good luck with the packing!!ReplyDelete
PS love your new color scheme.ReplyDelete
Billie Jo, I would love to give you words of wisdom, but we have lived in our home for 45 years. I can't imagine moving.ReplyDelete
It's great you have a great support network that is helping with the move. Hang in there, my friend. ♥
Hi Billie Jo!ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness, moving is very traumatic...it's right up there with a death in the family, and that's a true statistic! It looks like you're doing great, and have lots of good help. I can't wait to see your new place!
Have a great week-end, sounds like you're going to get a lot done!! Don't work too hard!
Hugs and Love,
DQ is pretty amazing and they really have good food too. I was there (packing, sorting, tossing, moving) just a year ago last month. I understand. You will get through it and it will be better! :)ReplyDelete
I can't even clean out a closet without crying and whining... you're doing GREAT!!!ReplyDelete
I know the roller coaster that you are on but it will all be worthwhile in the end. Think of it as one of life's adventures and enjoy the ride.ReplyDelete
Ahh! I'll be home soon to help (and to try that DQ drink) :)ReplyDelete

Moving is messy business but it will all be so worth it when all is said and done. Love your new color choices...can't wait to see the new place, Billie Jo! xo DianaReplyDelete
Okay so I know you are probably really busy with the move and packing. When is the move date, can't wait to see the new place. Esp with the that color you have picked to use. And....wow, the mac and cheese and prezel looks GREAT....ReplyDelete
Oh I can't imagine ever moving again. You're very brave!ReplyDelete
