The Third Of July 2017

Yep. Around here, we celebrate  on the third of July. Our little town always has the fireworks that day, and so we have our little party and watch them right from our driveway. Here are some pictures of our festive, fun celebration.

The girls and I set the table...

Then Madison and Peyton, Marian, and I got to work in the kitchen.
Well, I was mostly clean up...they did all the hard work!
Peyton made Oreo Balls and Fruit Dip, Madison made Fruit Tarts, and Marian helped with the Fudge!

When we were finished, we got ready for our guests.
I set out Flynn's outfit...

And she loved this precious skirt I found on Etsy!

Love these two beautiful ladies!
Blueberry Mary and my mom are the best of friends!

And speaking of best friends...
Marian and Heather are two of the best friends any gal could ask for. : )

After a delicious meal of hot dogs, sloppy joes, pasta salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, taco dip, and bacon dip with crackers, we all headed outside.

While we waited for the fireworks to start, we had fun with sparklers!

And this little lady loved it!

We ended the night with Peyton's amazing Strawberry Shortcake Bars.
They were delicious!

On The Fourth of July, we rested!
We watched the Hot Dog Eating Contest and then our traditional Fourth of July afternoon movie...Jaws!
We enjoyed a dinner of leftovers, as well as Steve's creamed lettuce over fried potatoes, before Marian headed home.

And then, while we watched the beautiful fireworks from New York City on television,
we had Peyton's Strawberry Pie.

And it was good.

I hope you enjoyed your celebration with your people, my friends.
Thanks for visiting!
