Recently, however, Flynn discovered a long forgotten video on our movie shelf. And fell in love. As soon as she played it the first time, memories flooded my heart. It is a movie my little Madison watched over and over again. It is the story of a beautiful and brave princess who lived long ago. Her name is Pocahontas. And her movie, while slightly historically inaccurate, is full of amazing music and beautiful animation.
I am so happy to have this movie playing again in my home after all these years. If you need a break from the new "Frozen" type Disney movies, take a look at Pocahontas, one of the wonderful classics. And sit back and enjoy.
The Easter Bunny brought a new DVD for Flynn to enjoy.
Rest assured, I am keeping the old and loved video.
Because. Memories.
The sneaky Easter Bunny also brought a Pocahontas dress...
And my little Flynn wears it every single day.
Have you ever seen Pocahontas?
What do you think about it?
And what is your favorite Disney Princess movie, my friends?
I'd love to know. : )
Snow White and Cinderella are my favorite. Oh my has Flynn grown, Billie Jo. smiles
ReplyDeleteYES POCAHONTAS! I love her little outfit <3 This makes me want to watch it again!
ReplyDeleteThat Easter Bunny knows what's what. I was never the biggest fan of Pocahontas but we watched it on Hulu about a month ago and it wasn't what I remembered from my youth. I am so glad Flynn can cherish the movie!
ReplyDeleteShe looks like a princess in her dress. How cute! I'm not a Disney fan but I have seen the Cinderella animated movie and loved it.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great one, Brooklyn has been wanting that dress!! I don't know how I could ever narrow it down to my favorite so here are my top three :)
ReplyDeleteSleeping Beauty
Beauty and the Beast
The Little Mermaid
Billie Jo, I have seen Pocahantas. Being a Virginian we were disappointed that they messed up the history. We love Disney and couldn't believe they didn't keep it historically correct. Flynn looks adorable all dressed in her new outfit. I know you must have the best time enjoying her. My favorite princess is Snow White. I remember seeing this movie as a child at the drive-in theater! I do believe she was the first Disney Princess. ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy she discovered an old classic Disney! My favorite old one? Lady and the Tramp!
ReplyDeleteI always loved Pocahontas too. I love that she's about respecting nature - perfect Earth Day video really too. Lol! Sweet Flynn. I think I could totally love movies with that darling little Chickie. :) I'll bring the popcorn next time!

Oh my gosh! So true! And we had just borrowed the movie from the library. She looks adorable in her dress :)
ReplyDeleteI get goosebumps every time Grandmother Willow sings. My Grandpa died the day after we saw the movie in the theater, so it is near and dear to my heart. One of Maddie's faves also!! Pocahontas at Disneyworld was always so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou know I don't think I've ever seen Pocahontas. Raising boys, that wasn't one on the list. More like Peter Pan, Captain Hook, Batman, Superman, Power Rangers, Ninja's - you get the picture. As for me my favorite is Beauty and the Beast. I absolutely love the new movie and made sure it was on our date night agenda. My husband even liked it. He never saw the original movie but saw the musical when we were in Disney World.
ReplyDeleteFlynn looks adorable in her new dress!
Flynn looks so beautiul in her Pocahontas dress! What a special moment it must have been in your home when you all watched/rewatched an old favorite for the first time!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, that dress is adorable! Flynn is so cute! ♥♥♥ Would you believe I have never seen Pocahontas. As a Disney loving lady and I embarrassed to admit it! Where have I been? I love all the princesses. I remember dressing up as Cinderella and Aurora and acting out the stories when I was little. My favorite of all has always been Snow White. Must have been the dark hair : ) I used to say that when I grow up I want to be Snow White at Disney World. Talk about dream job! ♥
