Getting Ready To Go Back To Homeschool

Tomorrow we begin our fourth year of homeschooling! And we are ready. : )

Saturday afternoon we went to one of our favorite places...Red Lobster...for our annual Back to School lunch!

I started out with this...

and thoroughly enjoyed every last bit of this.

These two look forward to sharing the chocolate cake every single time. : )

Flynn's first day of school outfit is all ready to go...

And tonight we will snuggle up and read this.

  3. Hope you have a fun school year! The local school children here have just got out of school because they are walking home past our house! I have missed their chatter as it is a reminder to me of what time of day it is! Have a good year!

  5. I love the way you do home school. I've seen so many that get it right and use it as a way of not having to deal with getting kids up and ready. I have a niece who says she is "homeschooling." She works, is a teacher in the public school, who has a boyfriend who occupies her time. One of children never finished and the other is in trouble. So sad. I love it that you have a schedule and a place and a routine. Your family is beautiful and I love that you invest in them. It really is the greatest investment you'll ever make as my daddy often said.

  6. It's going to be such a blessed year for you and your 'students'. Have a lovely first day in that beautiful school room you created. I wanna be you tomorrow! What if I come over and run the laundry, fold, iron, and clean up after breakfast, snack, and lunch so you can teach... Oh I really would love that!!! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow morning. xo

  9. Hello Billie Jo,

I can tell that you are excited about your new school year. I don't blame you with that spankin schoolroom :) I love the book - those peanut butter and Jam sandwiches bring back good memories of school lunches of my youth and those that I prepared for my own little homeschoolers. And Flynn's outfit is just too adorable!

Ooh, Red Lobster! Is that a Bahama mama that I see? I love Bahama mama, but that is only for special occasions. All that food is making me hungry!

As always, love visiting your blog,
    ♥Hope

  10. Hi Billie Jo!

You have so much fun! I love that you homeschhool, it's just such a great way to teach your kids that things that YOU want them to learn. Our schools are so over crowded, and they have a hard time keeping teachers. You are a smart mommy, and you have smart kids!!

    Hugs,
    Barb

  11. You seem like you put a lot of planning into it. We just start when everyone is ready lol. Which this year happened around mid August. We just have to work by last minute planning because with six little ones, planning way ahead just never seems to happen and everything ends up changing anyway, but it has worked well so far 😊
