The kids awoke to a few small presents each...
then we baked sugar cookies. And it was fun, because we never do sugar cut-outs at Christmas. Just everything else. : )
We had a nice treat in the afternoon of cookies, tea, and milk...
and finished off the night after Mass and dinner with my very favorite...ever.
And because we love holidays so...we continued the celebration on Sunday...
because that's just how we roll. : )
Soon enough, the real thing will be here! : )
{{Big, Big, smiles}} Will you adopt me, Billie Jo? (giggling)---beautiful my friend. Have a Blessed Monday.
ReplyDeleteLove!!
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely! What a neat tradition! I have a hard enough time doing Christmas in December justice, not sure I could pull of Christmas in July.
ReplyDeleteYour kids will have such fond memories of this growing up. I am sure they will pass this one to their children! Merry (in july) Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou are 100% right - Christmas will be here before we turn around twice. What a nice thing to do in the middle of the year. Hope your new week is a good one.
ReplyDeleteI would like to be adopted too, wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAwesome... just awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteI love that your kids received a few presents! There are so many gifts being exchanged at Christmas that I feel like the little ones aren't as appreciated as they must be in July!
And what a great idea to make cut-outs now when you have more time to enjoy the process!
It looks as though you celebrated in style and had great fun too! xx
ReplyDeleteI did the wrong thing and read this as my daughter sat beside me. She was all like, "Hey! Why don't we do that?"
ReplyDeleteLove this tradition you have and even better that it fell on a weekend this year. You are so much fun.
Wow -- what a fun idea!!
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, What a wonderful idea! Love the cookies and Rudolph Monopoly!
ReplyDeleteSo much fun! I love this soooo much!!! ♥
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! Merry Christmas in July!
ReplyDeleteI just love this so much!! Such a fun idea and a way to feel a bit of that precious Christmas spirit during such an unexpected time of year. I seriously may need to steal this idea next year if my son and hubby would play along.
ReplyDeleteNow the real question - have you begun "real" Christmas shopping yet?? Lol ;)
xoxo
Seriously, I look at posts like this and I think "I want to be her when I grow up!"...you are inspiring. Such joy and wonder fill your family's days. God Bless!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun day/ weekend. I remember you doing this last year and thought I needed to do the same.
ReplyDeleteI am stealing this idea- what fun!! I might also do some Easter egg decorating, since we missed out on that little tradition this year- might as well throw in a few holidays together, right? :) Loved the pics!
ReplyDeleteI love it all, Billie Jo! What precious, lasting memories you are giving your children! They will look back at these times so fondly...that is the best gift of all! xoxo
