Thursday Thoughts...Beach Memories

Today I'm thinking about...

...The Beach. And all the fun we had. The weather was perfect. The kids had a wonderful time. And my friend Marian survived a whole week with us. My mother was unable to go after all. She wasn't feeling well, but is much better now. We told her she was scheduled for the next trip. : ) Here are some pictures of the memories we made at Ocean City, Maryland this year...

The ride to the beach is long. Very long. Thus, we resort to taking weird selfies and playing Peek a boo. At the same time.

We stayed at the same resort as last year. Here is the pretty and deserted lobby.

We had beautiful days...

and spent them at the mostly empty beach. Perfect. : )

While the older kids and I went to an afternoon movie, Daddy took his date "real" golfing...

where she showed him how to take the perfect selfie. : )

We posed for pictures on the balcony...

and Marian was still smiling!

We spent evenings on the beach too...and even saw the dolphins!

We walked on the boardwalk...

and ate amazing food. Little Flynn loved the Japanese soup. : )

We swam in the mornings...yes...me too!

We had coffee and took naps in the afternoon...

We had fun picking which elevator door would open first...

We did what we do best...spent time together. : )

Thank you for the memories, Ocean City...

Goodbye. For now. : )

  3. ...nobody else on the beach...that would totally be my perfect vacation also. AND anyone that came along with my family would have to be so brave because I have a wild and crazy bunch.

I love the ocean. There just isnt anything else like it. Good times with family!

Cannot figure out if Flynn has her dads smile or yours. I am leaning towards her dads...in that selfie. Cute smiles!

  5. Ah, the beach sounds wonderful right now! At the moment, it's 33 degrees outside with snow covering the mountains just above our home and there is a toasty fire going in the living room :)

Beautiful family pictures, my friend. Thanks for sharing with us! Hugs to you!

  6. I'm so glad you had a great time. There's something really special about going to the beach after the summer season. You seemed to luck out with the weather still being warm for this time of year. The pictures are wonderful. Coffee with a view like that sounds divine. Not sure I would have left that balcony.

  7. The pictures are beautiful of everyone and everything. You picked the perfect time of the year to go. I would like an empty beach too! Going is fun, but going home is better. :-) Thanks for sharing your vacation.

  12. Just beautiful, Billy Jo.
Your little one is quite beautiful, as is her mother.
I enjoyed my visit here tonight as I relaxed by the fire with three inches of snow on our front deck.
    Happy Autumn to you.
    Joy in Jesus! Debbie
