Disney 2014...In Pictures

Disney was pure magic this year. Here are some of the photos of our magical trip to Walt Disney World. : )

We began the celebration the night before with a "Going to Disney" party...

Thank you, Tara!!!

And then...we were off!

This little lady was amazed as we flew through the clouds. : )

Once there...the magic surrounds you, and you forget the world outside the magical gates even exists. We did so much together in one short week...

We found fun little touches in our beautiful hotel villa...

We enjoyed early morning swims...

with breakfasts by the pool. : )

Afternoons found us snuggling, watching vintage Mickey Mouse cartoons, and napping. Yes, all of us.

Evenings began with dinner at the most amazing places...

like dining in The West Wing in the Beast's Castle...

where we saw The Enchanted Rose.

And posed for a photo, of course.

We also ate at an amazing Japanese restaurant in Epcot, where our meal was prepared right at our table, and even the littlest princess used chopsticks. : )

The highlight of the trip...for ALL of us...was the magical moment when our Flynn finally met her Cinderella. The real Cinderella. It was pure magic. It was one of those moments you know you will remember forever in your heart.

A few days later, my baby put on her finest...

and met her again! This time for dinner in Cinderella's very own castle.
More on this later. This moment deserves its own post.
I promise.

There was plenty of time for rides...
from the thrill of the carousel for all...

to the roller coasters and magical Soarin' for the big kids. : )

We spent some time waiting on the patio until it was time to catch the bus...

to ride over to a different park...

where Woody was thrilled to see her. : )

We were so thankful Daddy was able to ask the front desk clerk to run to Walmart and get an umbrella stroller since Mommy forgot ours. Oops. ; )
There is just too much walking in Disney for little four year old legs.

We attended a lovely Mass at the beautiful Shrine of Mary Queen of The Universe.

My movie buff was thrilled to find the AMC Dine-In Theatre in Downtown Disney.
We saw Maleficent...and loved it!
We ate dinner in recliners inside, all while watching the movie. : )

A breakfast milk spill led to one of the most fun times...an impromptu splash in the fountain!

We had breakfast with Mickey and friends...

and Donald was the clear favorite. : )

And late nights were saved for the magical moments of parade...

and fireworks watching.

We took many, many photos...

to help us remember this magical trip...

long after we say goodbye.

Good bye for now, Walt Disney World.
Thanks for the magic.
And the memories.

  4. Such beautiful pictures and memories, my friend :) Your photos remind me of when I was a young girl and my parents would take me to Disney World almost every year. We would meet up with my grandparents from Canada and stay at the Disney campground. The last time I went I was 20 years old and about to get married - sweet times :)

Hugs to you, dear Billie Jo!

  7. How magical! Two things stick out...When Flynn met Cinderella (oh my goodness!) and when Rhett hit the jackpot of all movie theaters (I'm guessing?). Great memories that will last FOREVER!!!

  11. This is just one of those posts that I HAVE to comment on despite not having a blog (as I've mentioned before, I have not used this livejournal account in 8 years :)).

Love this post, and I especially love those pictures of Flynn with Cinderella. Such joy! The dine-in-theater sounds so much fun. Actually...all the photos just radiate fun. Happy for you and your family!

PS. Did you know the Disney castle was inspired by a real castle? It's Neuschwanstein in the South of Germany: http://www.listofimages.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/neuschwanstein-castle-bavaria-germany-schwangau-castle-world.jpg . Pretty magical, don't you think? I thought perhaps Flynn (or one of your other kids!) might like to see :).

  18. Looks like a really fun trip! I went to Disney World when I was around 4 and again when graduating from high school, but we never got to see fireworks or a parade. I bet that was really exciting! I'm glad to hear Flynn had such a fun time....I may have to hide this post from Lucia ;)

  19. I just want to hug your amazing family! Love these pictures. Love this whole trip. So glad you were able to go. It looks like there was something for absolutely everyone. Isn't it amazing that Disney magic is not bound by age limits? Everyone finds their inner 4-yr-old there. <3
