Weekly Wrap Up

These weeks seem to pass in a blur, don't they? This week was all about school. And that makes me happy. Here is a little peek at the past week in our country home.

Yes. More school pictures. Because. My baby.

She is loving First Grade!

And I am loving her loving First Grade. : )

Can we slow time ...just a bit...pleeeease?

One more. Because someday she won't be wearing a schoolhouse dress with a matching bow.

We enjoyed our afternoon walks, watching things slowly beginning to change before our very eyes...

As we wait for the splendor that is autumn in Pennsylvania.

I received a Zulily order this week...and was thrilled!
Mostly because I had no recollection of ordering these cute little pumpkins.
Sadly...that happens often. : )

And this. Because I never grow tired of leftover pasta for lunch.

Have a wonderful weekend, my friends!
Football is back!!!!

First Day Of School 2016

Our first day of homeschool 2016 was a success! We were back in our little schoolroom and working right away. Here are a few pictures of our day.

My First grader was the first one up and ready...

And was excited to take a few pictures with her teacher...

And with the Superintendent of schools. : )

We had pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for breakfast...

And then posed for the annual First Day of School picture.
My students this year...
Flynn-First Grade,
Rhett- Ninth Grade,
And Peyton- Eleventh and Twelfth Grades
Yes. That's right.
My Peyton is graduating this year, as a Junior!
So proud of her hard work and determination. : )

My youngest student brought me a gift.
She got it out of the refrigerator all by herself.
And washed it too. : )

I also received these beautiful flowers from my sweet, thoughtful, home and school and family loving friend Tara. (Who is so humble she probably didn't want me to put her name here.)

My baby. Because. Well. She's my baby.

Then we finished our first day back with an after lunch stroll.
But not before my girl exclaimed, "I LOVE First Grade!"

Tomorrow we do it all again.
Minus all the pictures. : )

Have a wonderful rest of the week, my friends!

I started out with this...

and thoroughly enjoyed every last bit of this.

These two look forward to sharing the chocolate cake every single time. : )

Flynn's first day of school outfit is all ready to go...

And tonight we will snuggle up and read this.

Homeschool year number four...here we come!

Weekly Wrap Up

Ok. First of all...

Let's all just take a moment, shall we?!
..........................................
Ok. Moving on.

Our last few days of August looked like this.
And if you noticed anything new about my girl...

You would be right.
She lost her front tooth!
And when I say lost, I mean lost.
Literally.
Panic ensued until Peyton found in buried in the carpet.
Crisis averted. : )

Speaking of Peyton...
Here is my right hand girl.

The end of August also means Steve and Rhett begin doing whatever it is they do in the fields up at camp. Things involving dirt and seeds and ATVs...

And trail cameras.

Back at home, the first morning of September looked like this...

And there was even a bit of coolness in the air. : )

And so that's that.
Even though the calendar says we have a few more weeks of summer...
In this house...
Fall has arrived in all her glory.
Happy Labor Day Weekend, my friends.
Enjoy it however you want with your people you love.
Thanks for visiting.

(Pinterest for the borrowed images, as always.)
