Monday Morning Coffee

Good Monday morning! I hope you had a lovely weekend, wherever you were and whatever you did. I am really fixated on all the fall things lately. I want to make sure I am taking it all in and appreciating it because these few days of vibrant, colorful leaves glistening in the sun, slowly drifting downward, their job almost done, are gone too soon. Each season has its crowning achievement for me, and these few days are just that for autumn. We have taken it all these past few days. Let me show you.

It was beautiful and cozy, and I felt like we were in Stars Hallow ~ for all the Gilmore Girls people out there! Afterward, I was happy in my cozy place.

Thanks to the magic of technology, we can stay in constant touch with Peyton and Chris. Here are the pumpkins she grew from last year's pumpkin seeds!

And, of course, my momma. My sister Margie makes sure I get to share in all their fun. Saturday was Trick-or-Treat night in my tiny hometown, and they passed out all their candy!

Well, it's time to get this last week of October underway! I plan to watch some of my favorite Halloween movies, enjoy festive food, turn off the lights, and watch a Halloween Ambiance YouTube video. This cozy, spooky, time won't return for another year!

Take Your Time. It's October.

It's October—the middle of October. I realized yesterday that this most beautiful, peaceful, cozy time is what I have waited for all year. I dream of these days during the hot sun of July, and now, they are here. I hope I am making the most of them because, like the colorful leaves on the old tree outside, they will disappear all too soon.

Enjoy your October, my friends!

All The Fall

Well, here we are. Friday again. And it is the last Friday in October! Soon, all the cozy fall vibes will be replaced with Christmas joy, so before we jump headfirst into Mariah Carey and the Elf on the Shelf, let's enjoy all the fall we can. First up: Fall here, in the schoolroom...

In the front yard...

And in the backyard.

.

On the beach, where Flynn and Steve head for late afternoon walks...

Back home at Madison's house...

And at Peyton's, too.

Fall looks different in different places. I truly learned that this year. Fall can be a feeling, too. It doesn't have to be trees with leaves of glorious shades and perfect pumpkins on the porch (although those things are amazing!). It can be a cozy feeling of contentment, a cup of pumpkin coffee, or a walk on the beach at sunset. All that is fall.

I will wrap this up with a few random pictures from this past week here. Mocha, forever by my side, Peyton, Christopher, and Flynn, having so much fun last weekend and breakfast on an October morning. A perk of having a husband in retirement is having meals prepared and cleaned up for you! Who knew??!

Have a wonderfully, not-too-spooky weekend, my friends. Madison and Nicolas are heading down here, and we have lots of Halloween fun planned! Thank you for visiting. I am always happy you do.
