( Almost ) Wordless Wednesday

I had a wonderful visit with my beautiful mom yesterday. We sat in her room and visited and talked about life. About how blessed we are and how quickly life passes. Before I left, I hugged her goodbye, and when I returned home, I immediately looked at this...

My mom~ on her Confirmation

I looked at that beautiful young woman and thought of all that awaited her: happiness, joy, laughter, sadness, pain, loss, and love. Always love. I thought about how this young woman, my mom, faces every single circumstance in her life with happiness and hope. And I knew she was right about the song she always sings that ends with the line, "... Life is but a dream."

Happy Wednesday, my friends.

Wordless Wednesday ~Almost

I hope your December days are passing slowly and with intention, my friends. It is hard to limit the outside world's influence, isn't it? The constant deluge to buy, buy, buy. To keep spending and rushing. We are trying to focus inward this year. More quiet evenings by the tree. More movie nights together. Less rushing. Less stress. Less checking things off a list. In fact, I did away with the list this year!

Have a cozy day, dear friends!

No Words Needed For This One

Except maybe..."God needs no filter." or "There is too much ugly in the world right now. Here is a picture I took from my deck the other night as I was cutting fresh fruit. I knew it was raining, and I felt the sun come out and thought to myself ~I wonder if there will be a rainbow~so I turned around and saw this."

What would you caption this, my friends?
Have a beautiful Wednesday!
