Good Monday morning! And...drumroll, please...Happy Fall!! It is finally officially acceptable to embrace all the cozy that I have been ready for since late July. We celebrated with a delicious autumn brunch. We had fresh autumn fruit, bacon, eggs, and pumpkin pancakes. It was a group effort, and it came together beautifully!
Unfortunately, Flynn's pup Marty was a bit too late!
And it isn't all fun and food around here; this was my view on Saturday. Do you use Murphy Oil Soap? I do, and every time I open it, I am reminded of my mom and childhood home. She always had a bottle of that, and I still remember her telling me how she loved it. I have to be in the mood for deep cleaning. Thankfully, I was because this area is so dusty! I put in my AirPods and wiped, dusted, vacuumed, and mopped until it sparkled.
And then, I promptly showered, put on clean, cozy clothes, and collapsed on the sofa.
In even more exciting news, Our Steelers are winning! This weekend, they had some extra special fans who braved the heat to cheer them on!
Did I mention it is officially fall?
Although we were at the house, I wanted to swim a bit yesterday, so Nicolas drove us across the bridge to the condo, and Flynn and I spent some time in the pool. The off-season is nice here, too. We were the only ones in the crystal-clear indoor pool!
Cosmo says hello and Happy Fall!
I need to get off this couch, get dressed, and start the day. Today, I will homeschool, do laundry, and decide on something for dinner. This afternoon, I plan to put on a YouTube fall-themed ambiance and catch up with you. Have a cozy day. And thank you for visiting!
Ok. I'm done.

Happy Autumn to you, Billie Jo! Loved all your fall graphics in your post. What kind of mop is pictured with your cleaning supplies? I'm in the market for a new one and that looks interesting to me. I hope you have a marvelous Monday. Yay on the pumpkin pancakes!
ReplyDeleteHi Robin! It is a Swiffer Power Mop. I recently got it at Walmart, and I am very happy with it!!!
DeleteHappy Fall my friend! Oh I know you are in my happy place! Great idea...starting the season with pumpkin pancakes! You guys really know how to make the most of things:) Always something good from your kitchen! I hope your Monday is quiet, cool, cozy and includes more than one fall-inspired drink in one of your cute mugs!!:)
ReplyDeleteYou did some hard work! The floors look great! I am so happy fall is here, too, and I hope it starts feeling like fall here soon! Haha! It's 91 degrees as I am typing this. Looks like y'all had a fun weekend! The pool sounds divine! And yay for the Steelers!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall to you! It was 95 yesterday but only forecast for 92 today, so I guess fall is here?
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
Oh my gosh!! Your HOME!!! It is gorgeous! And so unusual. The decorative fence around your staircase is like a designer house that would be in a museum magazine. But I don't see a gate to get down the steps! You keep everything neat as a pin, like it is an open house.
ReplyDeleteHappy Fall afternoon fall girl! I enjoyed everything about your post today except the cleaning part. We're going back home on Wednesday and I know there will be a LOT of cleaning to do. Not only unpacking and putting everything away but it always seems like stale air and dusty when we get home. Maybe I'll just stay here in the Black Hills where it's cool and beautiful. Your home is so beautiful and classic looking. Thanks for giving us peeks into your life.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
What a fun weekend. I did a bit of that deep cleaning too this weekend.
ReplyDeleteYes!! Yay yay yay for officially the best season ever!! ๐๐งก
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the smell of murphy oil soap too. My former in-law's had that gorgeous old historical home and it had lots of wood floors. It reminds me of my former MIL who was an absolute bestie in my life. I remember popping over to visit and the kitchen floor would be drying because she had just mopped with that. Such great memories of her, and that house, and that cozy smell.
How awesome that you can pop over for a swim at the indoor pool. That's so cool!
Blessings on a beautiful week ahead that I hope is filled with tons of cozy. Blessings to you. xoxo
Hi BIllie Jo! You have a beautiful home and I love, love, love those wood floors. Have a blessed and cozy week and enjoy the first week of fall! See you again soon, my friend!
ReplyDeleteThe pups are so cute.
ReplyDeleteOur grand-dog went home today. Deep cleaning here I come.
I LOVE the picture of Marty sitting at the table. It needs to be framed....and Cosmo looks like a cute baby sitting so nicely on the sofa. Girl...I love Murphy oil soap.. smells so good and makes you feel like everything is spotless clean. Glad your Steelers are winning. Although we live in Texas....The Chiefs is who we root for and especially Patrick M. He is great friends with my nephew and my nephews wife is Brittney's (Patrick's wife) first cousin. Patrick is a great guy. We swam on Sunday as well...it was 97 degrees here and the pool felt great. Glad you got that swim in. Your home is lovely and I love the opening in the middle of the floor....Happy Fall....
ReplyDeleteI know you are going to enjoy every bit of your favorite season!!!
ReplyDeleteYay I love fall - It was in the 90’s recently though, but I’m hoping it’s almost over. It makes it hard to get in the mood of everything cozy! Brunch sounds perfect. Ahhh Murphy Oil Soap - when we first bought this house I used it in all the old woodwork. I have to say it’s a workhorse but the aroma does get to me! Enjoy the week - live your daily reminders to enjoy this time of year.
ReplyDeleteHappy Autumn!
ReplyDeleteThat brunch looks amazing. For a moment there, I thought that Marty might have helped himself to some. Xx
Yay fall! Your pancakes looks delicious. Marty is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI love some of these warm and cozy Fall pictures and quotes you shared today. I haven't used Murphy Oil on the floors, but I'm thinking I've used it on the cabinets before. It's so nice that it reminds you of your mom and your childhood home. The breakfast looks delicious, and pumpkin pancakes are always a nice treat to have in Fall. I am making some pumpkin cookies today! Good Morning Cosmo! Happy Fall, Billie Jo!
