Spring arrived here this weekend! And we were ready. Sunday we ( meaning Steve and Rhett) washed off the side porch, filled bike tires, filled 200 or so random balls, swept the driveway, replaced light bulbs and garage door batteries and hung a new basketball net. Once Steve was all done, I had an idea! This year I purchased new pillows and décor for the front porch...ten years is a long time for the same ones, right? Anyway, I suddenly realized that we could hang the old stuff on our side porch! It made it much more cozy. This is where we sit while the kids ride bikes and play basketball. Steve was very happy to comply and got right to hanging all my decorations. : )
We have buds!
And blue skies!
And an independent climber...
who is very proud of herself. : )
And this...notice anything different?
Yep. We took down the baby swing. And Tara, you know how I feel about that...
Project "Prepare Our Home For Spring" Phase 1...

Have a wonderful day, dear friends!

ReplyDeleteIt's a perfect spot for gathering.
ReplyDeleteI love your pillows! So cute. And that porch swing looks comfy. :)
ReplyDeleteWait! I don't think it had a swing there before... not there anyway... did you take it down off of the porch or did you just get a new one? I LOVE the idea of a swing there. (for sitting and watching Flynn and Abigail in that pool this summer) ;)
ReplyDeleteLove when hubby just 'goes along with it'...they know I think that it's better to just do it and be done with it cuz after all it's the wife that makes it a home.
Love all that you do. And you!
Love the porch! And it looks like you had the perfect weather to get your spring work done!
ReplyDeletesuch a lovely porch.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! And each year the chain links will have to go up a notch so her feet won't touch the ground. I remember. Sniff. Sniff.

ReplyDeleteOh wow...I love that you have 200 random balls to fill with air and that you just do that all on one day. And I LOVE your side porch. And closing the door to the baby swing only means saying hello to new, exciting doors to come. Happy spring, dear friend! Love all the pictures of your beautiful life!
ReplyDeleteCan I come live with you? ;) I absolutely LOVE the porch swing! Everything looks so nice. Sounds like a lot of work but it was worth it!
ReplyDeleteLove your bright colors/flowers here on the blog. Did you do that yourself? I'm "technically challenged" so don't make many changes.
