This Makes Me Happy...Dandelions
Or rather, Flynn's love of dandelions makes me happy. To her, those bright yellow blossoms popping up all over the yard are a sure sign of spring. Of warm weather. Of long days spent outside. She does not see them as a nuisance or a bother. She doesn't see them as weeds. She sees them as flowers. A bright sign of something good happening in her world. Perhaps I could take a lesson from my daughter. Perhaps I could start looking at things in my life not as weeds, but as flowers. And run among them with a smile on my face and joy in my heart. : )

See..now...I keep on telling hubby they are not weeds. (he rolls his eyes)--we have the same lovely "flowers" in our yard. Flynn, you enjoy your flowers. Blessings (thanks for the smiles)
ReplyDeleteYour precious little Flynn and her flowers are both beautiful.
ReplyDeleteShe is oh so pretty and those photos are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove that second picture..frame it for sure...heck...8x10 that baby! Thanks for popping in and saying hi and wondering where I am. My computer is messed up and I cannot figure out how to put pictures on my lap top(working on it)plus it is crazy right now with busy busy going on. I still come and read...just havent been commenting too much. I am really really trying to catch up on the messes in my life. they got out of hand. Just cleaning out closets now and figuring out clothes for each child.etc....really really exciting stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, those dandelions are BEAUTIFUL! Oh to look at life through the eyes of a child rather than the my own...
ReplyDeleteI agree. Those beautiful little things make me happy, too. And that adorable little Flynn...she is sunshine in a dress. <3
ReplyDeleteLUV the dandelions, too..they make me smile and even more so on your lovely daughter.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty girl! Love the headband!
ReplyDeleteShe is so adorable and starting to look a bit older :(
ReplyDeletegreat job on the matching bow to those pretty yellow flowers ;)
ReplyDeleteThe photos are postcard worthy and definitely canvas-worthy. You need to have a canvas collage made of them all as wall art. What a little beauty for sure!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the last picture. So pretty!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite posts of yours, Billie Jo. Thank you for this. Have a happy day, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYou captured some beautiful pictures Billy Jo. I think it is a God blessing that Mother's Day is the time when those lovely dandelions come and fill the yards and meadows for our children to enjoy picking so they can present many beautiful bouquets to their dear mama's.
ReplyDeleteJoy! Debbie
It's funny how children think dandelions are the most beautiful thing. It is about focusing on the flowers in our lives and a little less on the weeds. :)
ReplyDeleteOur priest mentioned dandelions in his homily last weekend and it made me see the new patch of them in my yard so differently. I guess we won't spray/kill them after all. The girls just love them too much.
Beautiful photos of your beauty, Billie Jo.
Love the reflection you gave here, Billie Jo. And, of course, Flynn is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post, guess I will be looking at them in a different way now. ( My hubby asked if he got me flowers for Mother's day what color would I like, I responded with " please don't get yellow ones because I have enough of them growing in my yard."....lol)
ReplyDeleteMy children call them daisy-lions and its just too cute to correct them. I also remember just loving dandelions when I was little and never understanding why anyone would want to rid their yard of them.
ReplyDeleteOK, my favorite picture is that last one!!! 8X10 that one!! Loved all these photos!! I LOVE dandelions too!!! (our neighbors don't though!) I have even been known to stop at a field of dandelions and let the kiddos run in it!!! I love dandelion boquets...I love them! They are the perfect childhood flower.
ReplyDeleteThose photos of your little Flynn, oh, my goodness, just give her extra kisses from me OK?
