Good Monday morning, my friends! Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day; therefore, I am enjoying my coffee in my favorite mug to celebrate. So, how was your weekend? Our weekend was quiet and cozy, and I am not complaining. We attended Mass for the Fourth Sunday of Lent, and I lit the pink candle marking the midpoint of Lent, a reminder that as we go through this time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we will rejoice on Easter morning.
This is the view we had as we drove over the bridge to Mass, with the wind making the water choppy. When the weather is windy and rainy, I sometimes like to bake brownies. So I did just that.
And shortly after, Madison texted me a picture of this.
Because sometimes she and I are on the same wavelength!
Cosmo likes homeschool so much that he likes to sit in our little schoolroom on the weekends.
So, for him, I sat in there and updated my planner for the upcoming week. Who could say no to that face?
Tomorrow is St. Patrick's Day, and we will celebrate with Shepard's Pie and a special Irish dessert that Madison is making. I think maybe a Guinness cake?? But I will let you know!
I'll leave you with these...
Ok. I'm done. But, no. One more.
How does Pinterest know so much about me?
Have a great Monday, my friends!
Billie Jo

LOL! Thanks for the laughs on a Monday! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for the giggles, Billie Jo! Those graphics! :) Your brownies look awesome along with the pan of Madison's. Happy Monday! Stay safe if you are in the storm's path.
ReplyDeleteSo Lent is over on Easter Sunday? I like that about both of you making brownies. Cosmo looks cute in the chair. Enjoy your St. Patrick's Day.
ReplyDeleteI love and laughed at those memes. Hilarious. Same!!!! I love reading over your weekend. It is always so enjoyable and what you have planned for the week. I love Cosmo. He is precious. :) Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteLoved the graphics at the end! ALL are so applicable to most of your readers, I'm sure (including me!).
ReplyDeleteYour planner is so pretty with the graphic and the pretty charms! My daughter and I do similar things often too! Have a blessed week!
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here waiting for my pistachio cake to cool so I can frost it tomorrow to serve with our corned beef dinner. I love making something "new" as a dessert each year since my husband pretty much doesn't let me deviate much from our traditional St. Patrick's day menu.
ReplyDeleteCute planner! Have a great week, friend.
ReplyDeleteHello my Dear! I think pinterest knows us both well. Lol
ReplyDeleteI love your advent wreath. It's SO pretty. And yes that sweet pup face would have me doing anything for him. Love how you and Madison baked the same thing. That's awesome😂
I was going to make creamy potato soup and Irish soda bread for St. Paddy's but Matt's out-of-town and it wouldn't be Annie's thing. She's home for the week so catering to her. But I'm going to put green sugar on the dessert she wants...so there's that. ☘️ Blessings xo
I like to bake too on cold days. Pretty neat that you both baked brownies. :)
ReplyDeleteI really love these Pinterest memes! Got quite a laugh. The first one would be ME. Cosmo wants homeschooled! Perhaps some archeology which studies bones. Love your Easter header!!!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much I loved about your post today! First off, your coffee cup, it's delightful! Your Lent table with the pink candle lit, so very pretty. Brownies! - I have a box in the cupboard, and was ready to make them. You and Madison's look so Yummy! So sweet of you to catch up on your planner so that Cosmo can have that chair time he loves. Your quotes today really got to me, and I especially loved the password one, so funny and true. What's with all the passwords that we have to remember? And I loved the Rebecca one, as my mom's name was Rebeca, spelled with one c. Thank you for this wonderful post today, Billie Jo. And you have a new delightful Easter Header! : )
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I laughed so hard over these! The password! There's a lot I won't do on-line because I don't want to create yet another password! So funny! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCosmo, I just want to kiss his little face. Such a sweet boy!
Hi Billie Jo! I love your devotion to the celebration of Lent and Easter. The brownies look delicious. I hope you have a lovely week. See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteThe last image got me. I'm always forgetting my passwords :)
ReplyDeleteLove all of the memes, but would love plate of your delicious looking brownies even more!
ReplyDeleteCosmos...still trying to figure out where everyone goes on Saturday?? Such a sweet mom to sit in there with him. And, good thinking, sometimes the weather just calls for brownies!! Sometimes even a random Tuesday afternoon...hmm:)
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy your coffee mugs first thing. I have a few favorites of mine also but it's a lovely way to start off your post. Before I go any further, I would also like to say how much I love your header image. So pretty as is your planner I might add! That was a happy wavelength you and Maddison were on :) delicious looking brownies and oh I wish! Cosmo has the most adorable and expressive face and exactly, who could say no? :) Thank you for the smiles. I can relate. Sounds like a very tasty menu and I look forward to hearing all about the dessert. Have a wonderful and very happy Saint Patrick's Day.
