Good Monday morning! I hope you had a lovely weekend! Our weekend was nice here, and yep. You guessed it. Cold! We bundled up and headed to Mass, but we returned home right after to warm up! I don't like the cold, but I try to remind myself that soon enough, I will be complaining that it is too hot. So, there's that.
Here is the photo of the beautiful view we have as we ride into town for Mass. I love it every single time.

In other news, we had the most delicious spread of food last night! Steve picked up some pizza; Rhett got some delicious, fresh, soft tacos from his favorite place and made Oreo Balls. Kyrstin made everyone's favorite Buffalo Chicken dip. Madison and Nico brought an amazingly good pan of homemade macaroni and cheese, and I added a fresh salad. Apparently, there was a big football game on, so we had that on too. LOL Congratulations to the Seahawks fans! And to the Patriots fans, as a Steelers fan, I feel your pain.
Madison made cake! Pumpkin with cream cheese icing!
And it is delicious!
Before the food and fun, I checked off the items on my Sunday list in my planner. I recently started doing this because I realized I was doing random things on Saturday and then doing more things on Sunday. I felt as if I was never fully done or ready for the week, and I also felt I was missing the point of having a day to simply be and rest. I made a list of things I did or wanted to do to feel ready for a brand-new week.
I know I have this list to work on Sunday, so Saturday is free for rest, relaxation, and Mass. I don't put pressure on myself to complete everything, and if it doesn't get done, I move it to Monday. But so far, so good! I asked Chat for some images of how I spent my day yesterday.
And there you have it. Straight from an unknown artificial intelligence source that I truly will never understand. Nor do I want to. Because as much as I like to play around on it, Chat totally creeps me out. And it concerns me how it will be used by some in the future.
Now I am off to pour one more cup of coffee, wait for Steve to wake up, and get started on my day. Flynn and I have school today, and thanks to last night, we have leftovers for dinner. I have laundry to do as well, and I am sure we will watch the Olympics tonight. I hope you have a cozy February day, my friends. Thank you for visiting!
Billie Jo

Glad you had such a nice day. Your kids did it again - they are all great cooks!
ReplyDeleteYum, all of your football snacks sound really good. I skipped both the Super Bowl and the opening of the Olympics. I'm not much for TV lately...like you, I need to be more intentional about down time.
ReplyDeleteYou have a family of great cooks. You taught them well! I don’t understand Chat at all. Never used it and I wouldn’t know how to start, much to my son’s dismay. LOL
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a wonderful Super Bowl night with your family. I am envious!
ReplyDeleteSounds like your Super bowl meal was tasty. We had pizza, wings, veggie tray, and breadsticks. I was the only one to watch the game, but that was ok. I use Sunday as my day to plan and I don't care to do any housework.
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs a Sabbath, it does not matter what day you choose. One day a week of no work, just rest. Mine is Sunday although I have had some busy Sundays!
ReplyDeleteYour whole meal and the cake for Sunday's game sounded and looked awesome, Billie Jo. I don't understand that Chat thing and I was reading they gather and keep your info forever. Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteThat view is always stunning! And it sure sounds like you had a spread like we did! Lol A fun food party with a little football. 😉 I love your list and plan for how to do weekends and still relax but not miss what needs to get done. I have fun playing with chat gpt once in a while -but agree...the AI thing as a whole kind of terrifies me too. I just attach lots of prayer to it all.
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your week ahead and stay cozy. xoxo
Hi friend! Chat GPT scares me too lol but sometimes I'll ask it to redecorate my house and I'm actually pretty impressed with what it comes up with sometimes! Your Super Bowl Party looked like tons of fun! That cake is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI had some technical difficulties with my blog, so if you would like to read or refollow you can find me here now: http://www.ahomemakersheart.blog/ and thank you for making yours easy to find! :) I wish I was better with domain names haha!
Hope you have a wonderful week, I've enjoyed following your blog!
It sounds like a nice weekend to me. Especially everyone bringing a dish to the super bowl party to give a lot more options without all the work. You are blessed my friend. Have a great week and I do love your Sunday list.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Chat is fun. And oh so creepy! But it did make some really cute, and cozy, pictures for you!! Sounds like you had some yummy SuperBowl fun! Here's to a good week ahead!
ReplyDeleteHappppyyy Monday!!! I love visiting here on Monday!!! I love your list and it does have a nice but simple list to reset and help launch us into the week. :) The food all sounded so good and that cake!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lovely weekend! Poor Patriots...makes me sad. :( Have a great start to your week, my friend! xx
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great weekend – yummy food! I like your list to prepare for the week. And what I like more is that we’re both trying to reduce the pressure on ourselves - what doesn’t get done can be shifted to the next day - thanks for sharing that because we all need to put less pressure on ourselves. For all the joys of technology, it has created the stress of being perfectly perfect, or at least, seemingly so. And with that said, I am off to the Y - wearing my old exercise pants, a T-shirt, and a ponytail – need to try and walk off extra pounds on the treadmill…sigh, next to the beautiful people!
ReplyDeleteYour A.I dogs are adorable!! The only thing cuter would be the real ones. The cake is awesome! We are loving the Olympics. As for the Super Bowl, I watch it for the entertainment and the commercials. Your skyline photo is beautiful, getting pinker the lower it gets.
ReplyDeleteI chuckled at your "Chat" words, my friend. AI photos kind of creep me out sometimes. Ok, let's start with Madison's pumpkin cake! I wish I had a piece to go with my coffee right now. It looks soooo good. I'm not into the Superbowl games, and it puzzles me, as my son played football for many many years, and I watched every single game of his. This is a wonderful spread here of different foods for game day. And your Snoopy cup! Oh my goodness, is that the cutest, or what? I so enjoy your Monday Morning Coffee posts, Billie Jo. : )
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! That cake looks soooo delicious. In fact, reading about your whole super bowel spread is making me hungry! I'm with you on AI - it's interesting to play around with, but also creepy, troubling, and more than a bit scary. I love the view of the city as you drive to Mass, and your commitment to your faith in attending every week. I also love your chore list. I have a list of chores in my head, but with moving, it isn't always getting done! I hope you have a wonderful, cozy week!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe are having a warm up and it was nice to get outside today and walk in the sun!!!
Sounds delicious! We did not have the game on or any special food. We had more snow on Saturday and after grocery shopping opted to spend the rest of the weekend inside reading and crafting.
