  1. Your pasta and dessert pictures look mighty delicious, Billie Jo. It took me a long while, but NO is a complete sentence and I am not apologizing for using it. I'm not going to apologize for making myself a priority anymore. Happy Wednesday!

  2. I genuinely believe you might be my spirit animal. I would much rather be home than anywhere else. Being me. Eating Pasta. Loving Dessert. Prioritizing the things that are important to you and nothing else? Yes. Yes. And yes. Enjoy your Wednesday friend!

  3. This so reminded me of the "We do not care club"...Melani Sanders. Have you seen her videos? They make me laugh. Billie Jo...I'm with you. Life is short...enjoy what you want to enjoy...there is always time for exercise later....Just do it...and enjoy life.

  4. Hello, my friend. Thanks so much for your note and also for this encouraging post. The first two graphics especially say so well my outlook these days...as well as saying no when people are used to hearing me say yes. Hope your Wednesday is cozy. xx

  5. "Yeah, she was weird." .... I am already getting that Ha Ha... like you I started to say NO in 2025. I was done with a lot of the drama that was around me, that I did not need.
    Thank you for this post.

  7. Oh, these are so good, Billlie Jo. I have to take a few along with me, especially the HOME one. We both love the home so much, and Yes, it's a sanctuary. I'll always say Yes to pasta and chocolate desserts. And that last one.....that is one of the best quotes I've read in a long time. Thank you for these, my friend. They made my heart smile. : )

  8. I agree with all of these. One big one for me is not apologizing for being a night owl. So many people think it is so odd, especially for my age. But the fact is that all of us have our own rhythm to our bodies where we feel at our best.

  13. Home is my very favorite place to be - a true sanctuary for me. Since being widowed I have found that I rather like getting to do whatever I want when I want. Yes, it can be lonely. But I am growing more capable by the day and choices naturally follow!

  15. I love it when we get old enough that we don't feel like we have to apologize for anything! I've been 'not apologizing' for some years now. hehe.

  16. yes Yes YES! Can I add no more guilt for saying “No.” And not feeling the need to answer intrusive, personal questions. Do you mind if I follow your lead and post something similar? Thank you so much for this Billie Jo - it’s truly a relief to know others feel the same.

  17. Yep, totally agree. Although, saying no to work/job is becoming harder to do, smiles. Wishing you a lovely day, Billie Jo.

  18. Definitely not apologizing for avoiding conflict! Is it just me or does so many seem to thrive on creating and/or keeping conflict going? Why?? Hope you have a snuggly warm weekend with the bad weather coming. Maybe it will miss you guys! Good weekend for pasta:)

  19. I'm a homebody myself!! It took me quite a while to learn to say No. :)

  20. Yes, yes, YES! I love all of these. My list would include: saying no, being uncharacteristically me, saying a cuss word when one slips out when referring to my ex-husband, valuing my time above anyone else's. Thanks for the blog inspiration! I might share a post of my own on this same topic if you don't mind.
