I like summer, but I don't like being in the sun.
Or being hot.
Or sweaty.
I like fresh sheets on my bed, but I don't like removing the old ones.
Or washing them.
Or putting them back on.
I like ordering things online, but I don't like all the boxes they come in.
Neither does Steve.
At all.
I like making plans, but I don't always like following through with them.
Sometimes I do.
And then I am glad.
I like ice cream, but I don't like milkshakes.
Weird, I know.
Go figure.
I like reading books.
And novels.
And poetry.
And blogs.
I like being home.
I like not being busy.
I like wearing a housedress.
I like creating a cozy place for the people I love.
I like being me.

I can certainly relate to many of these things....The sun!! I do not like being HOT. and oh my goodness..how I love clean sheets!! Just something about crawling into a comfy bed with clean sheets. And would you believe, that I am not an ice cream eater. I know..crazy isn't it. Have a good ol' comfy kind of day Billie Jo.

ReplyDeleteI love baking in the sun, but not if it's too hot out. Clean sheets, YES. Stripping, washing, remaking, blah. If I eat ice cream, it's soft serve twist with chocolate and vanilla, preferably with rainbow sprinkles on a cone. Mint chocolate chip or mint cookie crumble, mmm. Milkshake: nah. Good, but not my first choice. I don't mind being busy sometimes, but I do love the downtime too...especially waking up early and the birds are singing and the world is quiet...

ReplyDeleteI prefer warm spring to summer. I like clean sheets but I don't have the energy to change them, my husband and I do it together. I'm sending boxes from packages again. I like ice cream but I shouldn't eat it because I have diabetes. I can't drink milkshakes. I like reading but because of my poor eyesight I had to limit it. I wish I had free time but right now it's impossible. Hugs BillieJo.

ReplyDeleteI like many of these things too, Billie Jo. The "washing sheets" got to me because I just finished washing sheets and blankets for Jess' visit, and it's a lot of work, isn't it? I don't order too many things on-line, but I don't like all the packaging it comes with. I like being home, and I like not being busy. Oh, we are so much alike, my friend. ; )
