It's October—the middle of October. I realized yesterday that this most beautiful, peaceful, cozy time is what I have waited for all year. I dream of these days during the hot sun of July, and now, they are here. I hope I am making the most of them because, like the colorful leaves on the old tree outside, they will disappear all too soon.
Enjoy your October, my friends!

It sure is going fast! {{sigh}}
ReplyDeleteIt's going by way too quickly! We've had such dark rainy weather, perfectly cozy days, now a stretch of sunny days ahead, so nice. There is nothing in this world like the rain falling on the metal roof, a nice dark rain, with hot coffee and a good book. :)
ReplyDeleteDearest Billie Jo,
ReplyDeleteYour pups sure enjoy their October in front of the fire place!
Hugs,
Mariette
Things don't look too peaceful for those two little dogs, whatever they are looking at appears to have scared the sh#t out of them. Either they are freaked out at something in the window, or maybe a portal to another dimension opened up that you can't see.
ReplyDeleteWe are having a lovely October too. We've been camping twice this month and yesterday winterized it so we're done for the year. It was so beautiful though. Crisp coolish/warmish days and cold nights. But we had heaters and survived quite well. It's my favorite time to camp. Fall days. Absoutely stunning.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
I can hardly believe that we're halfway through the month already. I'm taking my lead from you, Billie Jo, and making the most of every moment. Xx
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to believe we are halfway through October. I'm enjoying every minute of it and making sure to get outside for daily walks. It really is such a beautiful time of year! Stay cozy, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteOctober is such a lovely month. Hard to believe it is already half over. Our leaves here are just beginning to change and today was the first sweater weather day. Hooray for that. Your photos are all so pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful month…half gone already…but it’s been great so far.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE October and I am doing everything I can to not waste a moment of it. Autumn is the time for me! xo Diana. ps- wonderful pictures!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty time of year and like all the months it is just zooming by.
ReplyDeleteThings are looking really Fall-ish around your place. Those beautiful red and yellow leaves sure make for a beautiful picture and I really like the one looking up through the trees at the sky. There is just something about this years October that is so special.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful Fall photos! I love the looking up at the trees pic!
ReplyDeleteOctober is flying by!
Like this poem says, everything is preparing for sleep. And doing it so beautifully!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are beautiful, Billie Jo. Octobers are the best! xx
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely photos. Can you believe it's only 50* here in Florida this morning? Wishing you a beautiful Thursday.
ReplyDeleteI am so surprised to find it's already mid-October. How did that happen? Your photos are gorgeous, my favorite is the one of the trees and the sky, feel just like I'm standing under them. I know you are enjoying your October and hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend as well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post! I love fall so very much and reading this post and looking at the pictures just evokes the spirit of coziness in my heart. Hugs to you my friend.
ReplyDeleteGood thoughts of October!! I like the photos of trees and reminding me of photos that I took when we were at Bonneville dam last Monday afternoon. I got photos of trees that had different colors. When I was driving home from an adult event, that I usually go to on Wed, there was a lot of tree leaves being floating in the air due to the breeze. I liked watching it!! It was cold last night and most likely got snow on Mt. Hood. It has been bare for months!! Have a good day===Becky
ReplyDeleteOctober is such a lovely month.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your post.
All the best Jan
I love how you share nature photos as well as home photos, my friend. I'm a nature freak, and must visit it at least once a week. The Fall colors are showing up around your neck of the woods. And I noticed your rug, it's so pretty! Blue in the home is so comforting, isn't it? I will send the girls that quote - they love Harry Potter books and movies! That is an awesome picture of the tall pines!
