Hello, my friends! Happy Wednesday! Although Halloween isn't until tomorrow, we celebrated with our Fifth Annual Family Halloween Party last night. It worked out with work schedules, and I was happy because Halloween is best spent cozy on the couch with an old spooky movie. I decorated with things I had around the house, printed off some fun Halloween games, and set the table earlier in the day. Once everyone was here, I lit the candles, and we got started.
First, we ate. This year, I decided to do something simple. While there is now a fancy name for it, I prefer to call this cheese, crackers, and fruit. I also made some orange Kool-Aid and was good to go! We are pretty big on tradition around here, and orange Kool-Aid at Halloween is big.
We took some pictures to document this yearly event, and although we missed Peyton and Christopher, we kept them informed with pictures all night.
This year's guests were a friendly gorilla, a super cute Banana, Violet from The Incredibles, and a chic and classy witch. Not pictured but still able to make it was a well-dressed, successful businessman named Nicolas. : ) We played some trivia games and even a Family Feud game, and then we were ready for dessert! Madison made this delicious Halloween cake!
Rhett surprised us with an amazing homemade peanut butter pie!
And Madison and Flynn made this Gingerbread House for decoration. Peyton was quite proud!
You are always young enough to celebrate the fun of Halloween.
Have a spooky, fun Wednesday, my friends!
Billie Jo

Looks like a fun time. That peanut butter pie, I would've eaten that in one sitting. Loved the cute little gingerbread house. And that cake? Yum! Hope everyone has a scary but safe Halloween.

ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo! You and your family sure do Halloween right! Looks like a lot of family fun. Thanks for sharing with us. Now, on to November! See you again soon!
ReplyDeleteIt's so sweet how you all hang on to your traditions that way! My mom did that too but am sad to report I didn't inherit the gene. ;) My family (and my husband's) are Italian so we always laugh at the "charcuterie board" trend too - that's an antipasto! lol
ReplyDeleteYou had such a nice Halloween 🎃 party!
ReplyDeleteAnd the cakes were beautiful
