Good Morning! Welcome to a brand new week. I am sitting in my spot on the couch looking out at the frozen lake, sipping a cup of Dunkin' Original Blend Coffee with a big ole splash of cream this morning. I have listened to my morning prayer podcast, written in my daily journal, and am ready to start the day. After another cup, perhaps. Then I am going to make some homemade slaw with cabbage, cilantro, mayonnaise, and cumin for our dinner of shrimp tacos tonight. I have some laundry to do and some floors to Swiffer as well. Tonight is dinner followed by me not-at-all judging a group of young women dating the same man in hopes of being the one chosen to be his wife. I suppose I am a sucker for a good love story and The Bachelor never disappoints. : )
Have a cozy day, my friends. Thanks for stopping by! Oh, and a little reminder...
Wednesday is National Chocolate Cake Day!
You know we will be celebrating, will you?
Good Morning! I love these Monday morning coffee posts. I'm holding my cup up to click with you... it's also Dunkies with cream and a little sugar : ) Have a warm and cozy day today! I also will not be judging anyone this evening while watching the Bachelor... (alone in my room! lol)
ReplyDeleteHappy new week! Miss you! xx

ReplyDeleteEvery day is national chocolate cake day around here. LOL Your homemade slaw sounds a lot like mine, only I put a heavy dose of garlic powder in as well. Yum! Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteI made the Pasta Parmesan soup. It is to die for. My husband and I both like it and liked the french bread too. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy!
DeleteI am so glad you liked it! And thank you for the tip about the ring on Mocha's collar. I never thought of that!
NO...I will not be tempted by chocolate cake. We both know I will. I am trying to lose a few pounds and have decided not to bake the cakes of late, we shall see.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the chocolate cake day, one of my favorite cakes, it just so happens I have half of a chocolate fudge cake given to me by my Mom, yesterday!.

Your menu sounds wonderful too, my dh loves homemade slaw, a recipe would be most appreciated.
Thanks for sharing.
