Good Morning, my friends.
Am I posting a makeup-free, dirty hair, pajama-clad selfie on my blog today? Yep. This is real life right now. This is my daily life as I stay inside while a deadly virus rages outside. I am not wearing makeup, and the result is my skin is getting a much-needed break. I am not coloring my hair, or heat styling it either. No color, no hairdryer, no straightener. The result? My hair is healthier than it has been in a long time. I am wearing fresh pajamas after my shower. Less laundry. More comfort. This is real life. For now. Not forever.
Thanks for visiting.
Have a cozy, healthy day!
You look so pretty and fresh in those pjs. I like the idea of staying in pjs but I walk my dog in our neighborhood two times a day, so pjs wouldn't do for that. Otherwise, I am at home alone now for 28 days. My dog Bounce says, no, you are not alone, I am here. Plus my sons visit for outdoor chats, a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya! I had a color appointment scheduled for yesterday, but, of course, it was cancelled. By the time the quarantine ends and I can get another appointment, I may decide to just go gray!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Patti
No colour needed here I allowed the grey to take over a couple of years ago and I quite like it. No make up here either but I am dressed as we have been working in the garden. Take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteJammie days are the best!
ReplyDeleteI think you look beautiful! I've been wearing a lot less makeup. Sadly my skin is and has always been crazy so foundation is a must for me. But eye shadow, lipstick, blush, and eyeliner are staying in the drawer for now and I'm not mad about it!
ReplyDeleteNot forever. This will pass. I may miss it...
ReplyDeleteDay 38 here, still EVERYTHING (but the grocery store, Tractor Supply, Lowes) is closed. Which means no hair color, no haircut, eyebrows are a mess...its sad, Billie Jo, truly it is...you, however, you are quite lovely, my friend.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you and your sweet family in prayer.
Here too dear Billie Jo. Other than I still get dressed each day. For me making that transition helps my mind move forward to the other things I want to accomplish. Blessings on the rest of your week beautiful Lady! 🙏
ReplyDeleteSuch freedom we have from hair and makeup things! You are a beautiful lady!! Enjoy this time to stay home and relax!
ReplyDeleteHi dear friend. I am doing the same things, just staying clean and comfortable. My skin is nicer since I stopped wearing makeup. Hugs to you. ~Juli
ReplyDeleteI think we can all learn and become better from this experience. I love this post. Stay well, my friend!
ReplyDeleteIt's such a different world these days... but you are handling it with grace and a great attitude! It always feels good to stay at home, and be au natural for sure, many blessings to you!
ReplyDeleteI can relate to our latest style. I always loved a pajama day and I am glad I have lots of pajamas. I would like to go grey, but I have dark hair and I figured I would color it lighter gradually. I have 2 boxes of hair color, but don't feel like doing it. I have a vanity area I use when I color my hair but it is full of material for face mask.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thursday, dear Billie Jo!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying these days at home...I love pottering about and keeping busy with little projects. Sending hugs your way!
You look great! I am doing the same thing and enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteReal life here too:) Enjoy your day, this too shall pass and we will be freed! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteI think during this uncertain time it's important to do what feels right for you :) You look wonderful in "real life," Billie Jo <3
ReplyDeleteI think you look beautiful just as you are! :) And here's to healthy hair, mine is doing the same!
ReplyDeleteYou're too cute. I too have been giving my face and hair a break. I did break down and shave my legs this week though; feeling kinda fancy now. HA!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember the last time I styled my hair. I think I have mastered the messy bun though. Can't wait until my salon opens so I can get a cut!
