I know. I know. Cabbage Soup gets a bad rap. But honestly, this recipe is delicious. I made it yesterday morning in my new Dutch Oven~Thank you husband for the best Christmas gift ever~ And isn't it funny how our idea of the perfect gift changes in direct proportion to the number of years we are married?!
I digress. This is a great soup for lunch on a blustery winter day and works well for meal prep lunches too. Don't be afraid of the cabbage. The cumin steals the show. If you want to give it a try, here is a link to the Recipe.
(I replaced the celery with green pepper.
And full disclosure: I buy prechopped veggies at the store.
Saves time and makes me more inclined to use them!)
Have a cozy Wednesday, my friends.
Looks delish! I am so drawn to cook soups in the winter - I will have to try this out! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSoup looks amazing! I think the celery is supposed to take away the gas...so I've been told. (not that it would do it for me!)
ReplyDeleteI love cabbage soup but too much does not like me.
ReplyDeleteThat looks delicious. Mum gave me lots of cabbage recently but I didn't think of making soup with it, instead I bulked out a few really good stir-fry's. Next time she gives me some I may have to try this! xx Susan
ReplyDeleteYummy.

ReplyDeleteLooks delicious. I love soup at this tie of year warming and filling.
ReplyDeleteThis looks so yummy and hearty - perfect for January after the sugar-overload from the holidays :) We may have to try making something like this...
ReplyDeleteIt looks so tasty! I will have to make it sometime soon. Thank you for sharing. Hugs my friend. ~Juli
ReplyDeleteI haven't had a good cabbage soup in a long time. This looks wonderful. Soups and stews are comforting on these cold January days.
