Here is the view as you see it from the foyer...
Our old Preschool/Kindergarten area is now a storage and display area for manipulatives, writing paper, books, puzzles, and games.
In the middle of the room, her little table is all ready for Arts and Crafts...
And right in front of that...her first ever desk...a gift from a friend...is all ready for the first day!
Of course I put my favorite...ok, only...student right beside my desk. : )
My desk...which oddly enough...is set up almost exactly as it was 20 some years ago.
Peyton and Rhett are all set to go as well.
The teacher in me is rejoicing over brand new white chalk. : )
And I am just as happy with the brand new month of September all ready to begin.
And although we don't officially begin our new year until next week, we are more than ready to start learning, living, and laughing together.
Prayers and love to all of you, my friends...
That each one of our children will have a happy, healthy, productive school year.
That we, as parents and teachers will bless them with our guidance and support.
And that God will guide us day after day in our efforts.
Have a blessed and wonderful school year, my friends!
Perfection!! I love this super sweet classroom! We started a couple weeks ago and I'm already feeling the stresses, lol! Do you ever feel overwhelmed in planning and keeping a grading schedule? I tend to get behind in grading!... You did a wonderful job, it's gorgeous! Prayers to you as well!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic-looking schoolroom!!! Flynn is sure to love learning in that environment.
ReplyDeleteI always expected to be like you---older kids, with a little one or two still at home learning. Alas, I was hit with mysterious fertility issues after child #2, and no amount of begging God reopened my womb. We pursued adoption, but our adoption ultimately fell through. Obviously, my plans were definitely not God's plans.. I do have peace about that now, but I look forward to the days of grandchildren.
Have an awesome school year!
Blessings,
Patti

Very cute! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know how you have that thing about raw chicken? I have that about chalk. Even thinking about it makes me shiver and my teeth hurt. (I know so weird.) But I am thrilled your room makes you so happy! It looks lovely. I love the first grade crayons, that is so cool!
ReplyDeleteHi Billie Jo,
ReplyDeleteI always love seeing your classroom at the beginning of a new school year! Its hard to believe that summer is almost over. My neighborhood is already so quiet, with children off to school, and parents breathing a big sigh of relief! These precious kids grow up so fast!! My prayer us that they will be strong and courageous as they venture out this new school year...and remember, always how much they are loved.
Hugs,
Barb
There are NO WORDS... that is awesome! I love it so so so so. And I want to come and learn in there! Billie Jo! You've made the happiest place to learn on earth. I love what you've done.
ReplyDeleteSeeing that chalk made me cringe! :) I love that Peyton and Rhett are right next to each other. There is no way that Peter and Sarah would ever work side beside like that. There would be too much fighting and complaining and zero work getting done! Your room looks lovely and I know it will be a great school year for you all!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks amazing. I want to go to school there!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful start to the school year. Catch a hug, my friend.
Looks like you're off to a great start! I just have one child left at home and we're on his senior year, so this is my last year of homeschooling.
ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by my blog today! I've enjoyed the "visit"!
Love your school room! I hope you have a wonderful year full of memories, learning, love and lots of laughter! I have a little space for our schooling too, but my boys prefer the kitchen table...go figure!
ReplyDeleteWe start next week too...
I'm getting things planned and organized in between hunting and camping prepping! So much to do... ;)
Enjoy your week and Happy Labor Day!
Hugs, Amy
PS... Thanks for linking my muffin recipe! That was so sweet of you to do that. I'm so glad you liked them!
Looks great. I might have liked school had my classrooms looked that cheery :).
ReplyDeleteYour classroom looks great! I love the new set up with your favorite student right next to you :) I'm pretty jealous you've been enjoying Summer all this time while my babies are back in school but I can get over it now that Fall is on it's way here!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks Great! Makes me want to go to school : )
ReplyDeleteHa ha! So what caught me about this (and had me wondering myself) was that you set up your desk the same way you had it 20 years ago! I wonder if I would do the same?? It all looks great and ready to go!
ReplyDeleteYour school room looks so nice and very organized. I love it! Lauren has that same picture Bible. She has always loved it. I hope you have a wonderful school year. Hugs. Juli
ReplyDeleteI Love your classroom!! Looks so great and organized and that beautiful chalk board!! Hope you all have a great school year!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Billie Jo,
ReplyDeleteIsn't homeschooling fun? I am excited for you. I love your classroom. I love the chalkboard and fresh chalk. I have always loved writing an a chalkboard - I don't like whiteboards at all.
God bless you and your new school year.
Hope
I looks wonderful Billie Jo!!!! I want to pull up a chair right next to Flynn and join the class! I wish you and the kids all the best of luck and love in the coming school year!!! And that chalk!!! I'm not even a teacher and seeing it makes me so happy!!! ♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteWow, that is the perfect classroom! Great job!
ReplyDeleteBillie Jo, I love your beautiful classroom and organization! It makes me want to come to your school! :) I always dream of my classroom staying this neat and organized, but with 5 children, the youngest being 3, it looks more like a tornado went through most days! :) But, when I get it back in order all is right with the world! :) Have a blessed school year!
ReplyDeleteI love your school room!! Flynn's desk...love it!
ReplyDeleteI want to,join your classroom!
Hi Hon! Playing catch up now that I'm slowly coming back from my blogging break. I love how your school room looks - all dolled up new for this year! And could sweet Flynn's desk be any more darling?
ReplyDeleteI also had seen Madison's new blog (I follow her on insta) and I just LOVE it! Not surprising, though, seeing as she's YOUR girl. Apples not falling far from trees and all that. ;)
My kiddos started yesterday and Annie LOVES her new school this year. I"m hoping to get back posting and post about it tomorrow. Blessings to your kiddos for a wonderful year ahead. xoxo
